[Estelle cosplay] The sunny bracer of Trails in the Sky, super happy to be recognized at the convention

Finally got Estelle's cosplay arranged for the CD30 convention. I was quite worried about the effect when preparing this outfit beforehand. After all, the bracer uniform has very vivid colors, with an orange-and-white jacket accented by a dark collar; if the material or tailoring isn't right, it easily looks cheap. Fortunately, the final look when worn was extremely satisfying. Paired with this signature orange twin-tails and the ahoge on top of the head, it felt like my entire energy and spirit became much more positive.
I put a lot of effort into the makeup. To restore Estelle's energetic yet slightly stubborn gaze, I specially chose these orange-red contact lenses with relatively high color saturation. The eye makeup deepened the contours, the outer corners of the eyes slightly turned up, and the eyelashes were brushed strand by strand. The blush and lipstick were also chosen in warm orange tones to match the overall hair color. When taking photos, I habitually made a V-sign and gave a wink to the lens, feeling that this better reflects her lively and cheerful personality, and I am very satisfied with the captured state.
The details of the clothing are actually quite particular. The white collar needs to stand stiffly, and the red teardrop-shaped pendant and silver ring below the collar are the visual center, which must not deviate in position. The yellow straps and dark bindings on the chest need to have their length adjusted properly, avoiding being loose and sloppy. The brown fingerless leather gloves on my hands are also one of the soul accessories; whether holding a weapon or making a gesture like this, they are very convenient and have a great texture. To ensure comfortable wear at the convention, I also made minor adjustments to the inner wear and belt, ensuring that walking around the venue all day wouldn't be too exhausting.
To be honest, before setting off for CD30, I was still feeling a bit nervous. After all, Trails in the Sky is a classic work from quite a few years ago, and I was worried that not many people would recognize it at current conventions. The result completely exceeded my expectations. Not long after entering the venue, a fellow fan cautiously called out Estelle's name, and I was truly both surprised and delighted at that moment. Afterwards, several people came over one after another to say hello, saying they recognized me as soon as they saw the bracer uniform, and even a photographer ran over specially to ask if they could take a few pictures. That happiness of being recognized at a glance is truly the biggest motivation for cosplaying.
We found a few places with good lighting in the venue to take some photos. To showcase the character's agility, I tried some sideways and semi-squatting poses; fortunately, I usually practice a bit of core training, so doing actions in this outfit wasn't too strenuous. I met many interesting people at the convention, gathering together to chat about the plot and past gaming memories, and that atmosphere was particularly touching. Although my legs were aching terribly after getting home, and it took a long time to care for the wig and clean the clothes, seeing the photos saved on my phone made me feel that everything was worth it.
For me, cosplaying is not just about putting on clothes and taking pictures; it's more about bringing a three-dimensional character into reality, giving her a real shadow in the 3D world. From costume selection, wig trimming and styling, to contemplating the character's movements and expressions, every single link needs to be taken seriously. The character Estelle carries a very pure positive energy; she is brave, optimistic, and never gives up—this is also the feeling I want to convey through this cosplay. I hope to have the opportunity to bring her equipment to more conventions in the future and meet everyone.
