From preparation to completion, a lot of thought went into this swimsuit look for Eyjafjalla. Operator designs in Arknights have always been packed with details, and this summer outfit of Eyjafjalla perfectly blends youthful sweetness with summer refreshment. To achieve the best visual outcome in the photos, we did extensive homework on the set design, decking out the entire studio in shades of pink.

For the makeup, to highlight the character's traits, the eye makeup was meticulously blended and matched with contact lenses, hoping to capture Eyjafjalla's gentle yet focused gaze. Styling the wig was a major challenge: the pink gradient at the hair tips required blending different fiber shades bit by bit. To prevent that signature cowlick on top and the ram horn hair accessories on both sides from shifting even during wide movements, we used plenty of hairspray and invisible bobby pins to keep everything firmly in place.

The costume has exceptionally rich layering. The pink plaid bandeau top is full of design flair, while the sheer transparent tulle and ruffled frills draped over it reveal delicate shifts in luster under the studio lights. Every time I changed poses, I had to carefully smooth out the folds of the tulle to make sure it draped in its most natural, fluffy shape before the camera. The black geometric anklet around the ankle is a delightful detail—it breaks up the monochrome all-pink palette and injects a touch of edgy contrast into the overall sweet aesthetic.

The set was filled with a rich variety of props: a surfboard and faux palm fronds on the left, plus a pink shopping cart and a vintage phonograph on the right, ensuring the composition never felt empty or monotonous. The reflective floor material was absolutely vital; when warm-toned lights washed over it, the floor reflections mimicked sunlight shimmering across a water surface, instantly maximizing the ambiance. While posing, I made full use of that massive pink-and-white striped swim ring. Whether sitting on the inflatable mat extending my legs to showcase the tailoring of the outfit or resting forward across the swim ring to adjust the lines of my neck, shoulders, and arms, keeping the core engaged was essential to finding the most graceful posture. Hand gestures such as resting my chin on my hands or lightly brushing through my hair were designed to make the character feel vivid and spirited. Completing this entire work was the collective synergy of makeup, costume, props, and lighting—a sincere interpretation of the character.

Studio shoots are truly an endurance test, especially for swimsuit themes that demand constant micro-adjustments in posture and expression. Before every shutter click, I had to ensure my gaze locked straight onto the camera lens while balancing muscle relaxation with dynamic contour tension. Although the outfit appears breezy, the stacked layers of tulle actually felt quite warm and stuffy under the studio lights. However, seeing those frames where light and shadow intertwined with crisp reflections on the monitor—and feeling that frozen moment of summer magic—washed all the fatigue right away. The team's obsessive attention to detail gave this originally two-dimensional costume a three-dimensional, vibrant life in the real world.
