[Tachibana Nozomi cosplay] Blue Archive Highlander Twins: Slipping on White tights cosplay During Convention photography

Heading to the convention with this gear for Tachibana Nozomi cosplay of the Highlander Twins from Blue Archive, I thought the hardest part would be securing the glowing halo, but I never expected to be defeated by White tights cosplay and an inflatable sofa bed.

After finishing a set of standing poses interacting with light tubes in the morning session, I noticed a beige inflatable sofa at the venue and thought sitting on it would capture some languid poses, so I got ready to climb up. The photographer set up the background, and out of habit, I took off my shoes—after all, you can't step on a sofa with shoes on! Standing on the floor wearing White tights cosplay provided virtually zero friction; the soles of my feet were as slippery as stepping on ice. I held onto the edge of the sofa trying to sit sideways, but my feet slipped, sending me leaning straight backward, and my bottom made unbuffered, intimate contact with the hard floor.

That "thud" was exceptionally solid; I felt like the floor shook for a second. The photographer behind the lens was completely stunned, holding up his camera without clicking the shutter, and I was dazed for a couple of seconds before coming to my senses. My bottom stung with burning pain, but fortunately, no bones were hurt. We stared at each other for three seconds and then burst out laughing together. A few passersby around us were laughing too. I quickly scrambled up, patted down my outfit, and poked fun at myself: "These white tights are way too slippery; I'll definitely need anti-slip socks next time!"

To be completely honest, the design of this costume is truly fantastic. The navy blue uniform with light-blue trim, gold buttons, and yellow braided aiguillettes on the shoulder enhances the crisp uniform feel, while the white geometric armband on the left arm and the glowing halo on top perfectly recreate the character design from Blue Archive. The elf ears paired with the long light-green hair bring out the full visual charm of Tachibana Nozomi cosplay. The photographer remarked that this color palette looked exceptionally clean under the convention lighting in our Convention photography, especially with the high contrast between the hair and dark garments.

After the tumble, we adjusted our shooting angles, utilizing that inflatable sofa to capture several semi-reclining and prone perspectives. I deliberately extended and crossed my legs wrapped in White tights cosplay, pointing my toes, and combined it with subtle gestures like tapping my cheek to recapture that relaxed yet slightly tsundere demeanor. The ambient lighting, the exhibition hall's ceiling lights, and that turquoise fluorescent tube all served as fantastic background elements.

The biggest lesson from this cosplay experience is to always wipe your feet dry or keep your shoes on before stepping onto any slippery surface while wearing white tights! Nevertheless, I'm very pleased with the final photos; in particular, the candid capture of the exact moment I fell (though not included in this shared set) became the most unforgettable running joke of the day. The photographer laughed and said he would prepare an anti-slip mat for me next time!

I spent a long time preparing this Tachibana Nozomi cosplay outfit, from trimming the wig and adjusting the halo brackets to tailoring the fit of the uniform, ensuring every detail remained as close as possible to the canon design of the Highlander Twins. While the white tights were slippery, their texture truly flattered the leg shape, and paired with the short skirt and over-the-knee socks, they elongated proportions in front of the lens—a styling choice exceptionally suited for photography. Even though the convention hall was packed on the day, finding good angles and clean backdrops still yielded crisp, luminous Convention photography results.

In the end, I selected these few photos to share—from quietly gazing into the lens while seated, to glancing back while lying down, resting my chin in a semi-reclined pose, and opening my arms to showcase the full styling.
