[Honkai: Star Rail cosplay] Convention photos: Two-Person Selfie Freezing the Moment

For this Honkai: Star Rail cosplay session, we didn't arrange an overly complicated DSLR studio shoot; instead, my friend and I took this Two-person selfie with a smartphone right at the anime convention. Honestly, convention lighting is notoriously messy and usually tricky for taking great shots, but this unexpected finished photo captured amazing on-site ambiance, successfully achieving a high-quality convention photo op with a fellow cosplayer.

Let's talk about the overall styling first. We both chose relatively vibrant, bright palettes this time. On my side, I went with a short pink wig topped with a black cap featuring a red star. This red-and-black color-blocking paired with pink hair creates an immediate visual punch, matching Honkai: Star Rail's sci-fi and fantasy blended universe seamlessly. To balance the high saturation of the outfit, I deliberately chose greyish-green contact lenses, giving my gaze a sharper focal point without feeling jarring. The jacket is made of a glossy red material, layered over a white turtleneck with contrasting geometric patterns—offering rich depth while showing off its texture and sheen under the flash.

My partner took an exceptionally fresh and ethereal direction. Long pale-purple hair paired with small white feathered wings, complemented by a choker and multi-layered pearl necklaces, gave off an airy, celestial quality. The white tube dress features purple ruffled trims along the edges, making the overall silhouette remarkably delicate and a great visual counterbalance to my bright outfit. To fit the overall mood, my partner wore teal-green contacts, with makeup emphasizing eye glitter and sharp liner to make facial features pop three-dimensionally on camera. Even though we only used the front-facing phone camera for this Two-person selfie, the makeup details and smooth Wig styling—completely free of oiliness or tangles—were the result of careful prep work before snapping the shot.
