[Tsukishiro Yanagi Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero FES Venue, Recreating the Classic Suitcase Pose

At the Zenless Zone Zero FES venue, this Tsukishiro Yanagi setup was prepared for quite a while based on the character design. The white blouse with ruffed collar combined with a green neck lanyard paired with a black pencil skirt, plus black stockings and slender high heels—this outfit full of professional flair looked very sharp under the hall lighting. The pink braided hair and round-frame glasses were key to character fidelity; to enhance character recognition, the overall makeup and wig styling took some time to adjust that morning.

Regarding the pose with one foot resting on the luggage, it is indeed a classic stance familiar to Tsukishiro Yanagi players. Before shooting, I specifically paired the look with this black rolling suitcase, which not only recreated character design elements but also served as a great support point during actual shooting. Standing in a wide area of the convention site, surrounding glass curtain walls and white truss structures provided ample natural light and great background depth.

When taking Cosplay convention photos, the site lighting and environment were slightly more complex than imagined. The top of this hall features large steel structures, resulting in mixed lighting with both natural diffuse reflection through the glass ceiling and supplementary artificial lighting. When shooting, attention must be paid to light direction to prevent harsh shadows on the face from overhead lights. I chose to face the light source sideways to let facial dimensions show naturally, while lifting my left leg to step onto the suitcase—a move that visually lengthened leg lines and allowed stocking texture to show a natural reflective transition under the light.

As a Convention photo report from an offline event, this set of photos recreated the character's calm yet casual feeling in the game as much as possible. From costume tailoring to detail accessories, like the green work ID card and khaki coat, visual balance in the overall frame was kept in mind. Holding the coat loosely in hand looked more relaxed without feeling overly restricted, making it closer to the comfortable interaction atmosphere at the convention venue.

During the shoot, there were many fellow enthusiasts and visiting players around, adding interactive fun to the process. Although foot traffic was heavy, the photographer found an open camera angle that successfully avoided messy backgrounds, keeping focus on character styling and poses. Maintaining balance for this pose was a minor challenge, especially when standing on one leg in thin high heels or stepping on a hard case, requiring constant stability of the center of gravity.

Participating in this Zenless Zone Zero FES was a fantastic experience for portraying Tsukishiro Yanagi. Seeing official booth setups in person combined with my own cosplay preparations deepened my understanding of the character. Regarding fabric choice, breathability of the white blouse and drape of the black skirt were key—they shouldn't be too tight to avoid restricting movement. The thickness of the stockings was just right for indoor convention halls this season, displaying leg lines without causing discomfort while walking.

For fellow enthusiasts wanting to shoot similar convention photos, open spaces at event venues are highly recommended. Unlike studio shoots, real exhibitor backgrounds and passing players provide a lively atmosphere that is hard to synthesize in post-processing. Bringing character-related iconic props during preparation—even a simple backpack or suitcase like this—adds narrative feel to the picture. Additionally, flexibly utilizing environmental props like rolling suitcases, chairs, or railings during venue shoots provides support for poses and creates more interaction between character and space.

Overall, shooting at Zenless Zone Zero FES met expectations, delivering a 3D presentation of Tsukishiro Yanagi's work outfit image. Key to this styling was visual sharpness and neatness—wrinkles on the white blouse and tailoring of the black skirt needed to remain tidy while walking. Capturing angles and focal lengths by the on-site photographer was also crucial to highlight the subject while preserving convention atmosphere in the background.

Lastly, when preparing cosplay with props, getting familiar with venue layouts and crowd flows in advance helps shoots run more smoothly. The height of the rolling suitcase served as a perfect support point, making holding the pose easier than imagined. The shooting experience from outfit prep to final photos was smooth, and capturing the character's spirit through the lens brought immense satisfaction.
