[Katsuragi Lilja cosplay] Gakuen Idolmaster's white daifuku ready for Guangzhou The Idolmaster Only - Image 1

For Guangzhou The Idolmaster Only on July 18th, I am preparing to cosplay Katsuragi Lilja from Gakuen Idolmaster. I chose this white daifuku look because Lilja's clean yet slightly mysterious temperament matches this white and blue color-blocked Lolita dress exceptionally well.

Let's talk about the details of this outfit first. The skirt is multi-layered, with the outer layer made of white mesh edged with light blue lace. The skirt hem has rich layers, creating a very natural fluffy curve when walking. The top is a white long-sleeve shirt with ruffles all over the cuffs and neckline, and an off-the-shoulder hollow-out design on the shoulders. I purposely added black shoulder straps myself so it wouldn't look too monotonous visually and would add a bit of layering. The white vest at the waist pulls in very tightly, accentuating the waistline completely. Although wearing it for a whole day at a convention can be quite tiring, it can beautifully restore the character's exquisite proportions in front of the lens. The skirt length just reveals the leg lines, and paired with this dreamy-style outfit, taking photos under the venue lights should yield great visual results.

The wig is silver-white long straight hair. To trim natural blunt bangs and sideburns, I spent quite a bit of time thinning and styling it. A light blue hair clip is pinned on the left side to accent the silver hair strands. Due to the character setting, I prepared a white plush rabbit doll as a prop; holding it in hand while taking mirror selfies adds a bit of the character's everyday life feel. The makeup concept is a clear base paired with deeply contoured eye makeup, slightly accented with silver-white mascara to make the eyes look more aligned with the texture of a 2D setting.

What I'm looking forward to most for this offline event is freebie exchanging. I made a batch of business cards and small cards that I call "ugly-cute ktn". Although the art style isn't exceptionally exquisite, every single one was laid out and printed with carefully selected paper by myself, carrying the warmth of handmade items. In previous exhibition attendances, I found that exchanging business cards not only breaks the awkwardness with strangers but also helps quickly make friends with fellow fans. I've purposely prepared a bit extra this time, hoping to smoothly exchange with destined producers.

When taking mirror selfies, I specially utilized the sliding glass door behind me. On the right side of the frame is the reflection in the mirror, where you can see the profile outline of the dress and the pleats of the skirt, and on the left is the front posture. This double composition is quite interesting. Since I need to wear this outfit to walk around the convention, I prepared very soft flat shoes in advance; although I might switch to shoes with a slight heel for photos, ensuring physical stamina while browsing booths is an absolute must. Additionally, multi-layered skirt outfits like this require special attention to prevent accidental exposure when passing ticket gates or sitting down to rest, so I've also brought safety pins just in case.

On July 18th, I'll be wandering around the venue wearing this white daifuku outfit. The happiest thing about offline only events is being able to gather with friends who love the same project, chat about recent new songs or favorite characters, and exchange the small cards we've prepared. Every time I put on this outfit, I automatically step into the character's state. I hope to leave pleasant memories with everyone then, see you at Guangzhou The Idolmaster Only on-site!
