[Kaigetsu cosplay] Zhongshan AS Comic Convention event photos, white and blue tulle dress texture maxed out

The convention photography from the Zhongshan AS Comic Convention has finally been organized, and this time we shot Kaigetsu. The texture of this outfit looks truly special in person; the white-to-blue gradient tulle dress features pearlescent and laser effects, but under the complex overhead lighting of the exhibition hall, capturing that clear, ethereal feeling really tests the lighting angles. To match this high-slit pearlescent long dress and transparent high-heeled sandals, I adjusted the center of gravity of my movements in advance. When lifting the leg, core engagement is required while spreading the arms to both sides, utilizing momentum to swing the white ribbon into a nice arc. Attention also needed to be paid to the angles of the silver metal arm ring and blue gemstone accessories on the wrist to avoid overexposure from reflections. The purple hair is very long and voluminous, making it prone to tangling with the ribbons in the wind or during movement, so constant grooming was needed between shoots. This time, I was mainly responsible for color grading and skin retouching. On-site lighting easily leaves shadows on the face, so during grading, the focus was on brightening skin tone while retaining the highlight texture of the tulle dress, and darkening the background to center the visual focus on the character. Skin texture was preserved without over-retouching. The face-shaping and body-slimming part was handled by Qianqian herself; she is very experienced in dealing with body lines, lengthening leg and body shapes while avoiding noticeable distortion in the surrounding background, showing a great tacit understanding. The convention background's metal trusses and crowds were quite chaotic, so a wide aperture had to be used to blur them out. The whole process consumed a fair bit of physical energy, especially maintaining such high-tension poses, but seeing the clean fusion of the white-and-blue color scheme with cool tones in the final photos, and the precise capture of the ribbon and skirt hem's dynamics, it felt like all the effort was totally worth it. Afterwards, I will continue to research light and shadow processing methods in different convention environments, striving to capture the moment the skirt hem flutters even more precisely next time.
