Following our contract, Genshin Impact's Shenhe and Ganyu assemble here today as convention buddies. Taking this set of photos happened right after the crowds dispersed from the venue—rather than a formal photoshoot, it felt more like a daily city walk imbued with character marks.

The first photo is a tight close-up convention selfie taken on a phone. Shenhe's long silver-white hair paired with black-and-gold patterned accents and her signature headpiece radiates cool elegance; meanwhile, Ganyu's ice-blue hair, horn styling, and golden bell at her neck look lively and sweet. The venue air conditioning was blowing cold that day, so whenever a breeze swept by, hair strands and dangling tassels gently swayed. For these two Genshin Impact character cosplays, we did our research on material selection. The outer black fabric carries a subtle matte texture, while sheer mesh panelling on the chest and gold foil patterns add depth. Though the metal pendants and bells look striking, they became a heavy burden throughout the day, leaving our necks and shoulders quite sore.

The second image is a reflection photo shot in front of the shopping mall's floor-to-ceiling glass. This backlit, reflective snapshot actually feels like the most atmospheric shot to me. Light refracting off the glass created subtle horizontal color bands, blurring our silhouettes. Combined with the ceiling lines and escalator geometries, it felt as though two game characters wandered into 3D real-world space, creating a fascinating sense of detachment from their surroundings. Often, the best part of an anime convention daily life is capturing these authentic moments on a phone while walking around.

The next two collages capture our "true colors revealed" moments. The top half shows faces covered with tissues and labeled "TvT", expressing our total exhaustion during the second half of the convention. Though this messy state directly contradicts the characters' ethereal grace, it is precisely the most authentic side of convention life. When mealtime arrived, we slipped dining aprons directly over our cosplay outfits, with the fried food picked up by chopsticks becoming the visual center. Eating with complex sleeves and a large bell-decorated apron tested our hand dexterity, but the moment the delicious food aroma hit us, image was out the window.

This is probably what "convention withdrawal" feels like. Wearing these clothes, the characters wrap around us like a second skin. Wandering the mall, browsing merch shops, discussing plans on escalators, or chatting over dinner—everything gained special meaning through these outfits. Once the brief 2D barrier of the anime convention dissipates, it leaves a strong post-convention withdrawal effect. But no worries—domains will open again, and I'll keep meeting up with my convention buddy. Let these photos serve as the best record of our happy time that day.
