[Sorasaki Hina cosplay] Blue Archive: Maid Part-Time Driver Photo with Itasha

As the cosplayer portraying Sorasaki Hina from Blue Archive, I took some time during the Firefly ACG Expo to shoot this "maid part-time driver" themed series. The Blue Archive-themed itasha at the venue was undeniably the biggest highlight—its deep blue paint was adorned with purple starry geometric patterns, creating a wonderfully magical synergy between the character artwork on the car and my look.

This maid outfit features extensive details: a classic black-and-white color palette paired with a purplish-red bow tie, and a white ruffled apron printed with the "XXX" lettering and an eye-catching red heart. The dramatic purple-and-black devil wings prop and the floating halo crown overhead maximized the visual tension. In particular, the lower half's Dark purple pantyhose cosplay paired with chunky-heeled black platform leather shoes looked exceptionally textured under the garage lighting, making it one of my favorite styling choices.

We chose an underground parking garage near the convention as our shooting location, as this industrial space was perfectly suited for pairing with a cyberpunk-style itasha. We added purple ambient underglow lights beneath the vehicle; when the purplish-red glow illuminated the ground and bounced onto the pantyhose and skirt hem, the color depth became instantly rich and vibrant. The chibi plush doll in my hand was a gem found among the expo merchandise; placing it beside me or holding it during the shoot added a playful charm to the entire composition.

In terms of posing, we switched between several postures to complement the vehicle. When leaning while standing, lifting a leg elongated the leg line, while gently resting my chin on my hand created a composed driver vibe. My absolute favorite is the shot where I sit on the ground slightly angled to the side, extending my legs forward, allowing the dark purple pantyhose and black shoes to blend seamlessly with the vehicle's underglow. Capturing this kind of indoor-outdoor crossover Itasha photography truly tests lighting control, but thankfully our teamwork was seamless, nailing both the lighting angles and prop positioning accurately.

As an itasha enthusiast, shooting alongside such an exquisitely detailed car was deeply fulfilling. From tying the maid dress bow securely to fine-tuning the wing placement and balancing the floating halo's center of gravity, the team made meticulous adjustments throughout. Although portrayed as a part-time driver, the centerpiece remained my portrayal with those purplish-red accents, leaving an exclusive convention-season memory in front of the blue-and-purple phantom wrap.
