Preparing for this Medjehtiqedti Bound Cosplay group photoshoot took immense dedication during pre-production, especially the costume design for the Sankta of Laterano. The texture of the leather jackets paired with metal zippers and belts made the outfits quite heavy and poorly breathable, feeling rather stuffy when shooting indoors. To ensure the lines across the chest and legs achieved the most flawless visual presentation, we constantly adjusted our styling, fit, and standing positions during breaks. The floating halo props over our heads were actually anchored into the wigs using wire, requiring repeated angle adjustments to avoid exposing the armature or tilting crookedly.
Rehearsing and framing the group shot for The Sankta of Laterano cosplay took quite a while; to ensure all seven members appeared completely in frame, the photographer continuously tweaked the camera placement while everyone took turns rotating spots to coordinate with the lens. In addition to the grand group shot, we also took several duo selfies, primarily to capture more natural, candid interactive moments. Partnering with the pink-haired cosplayer was an absolute joy—her pink wig was exceptionally striking, and paired with pink contact lenses, it created a distinctive cool aloofness. I was responsible for portraying the red-and-white-haired look; particularly, the leg straps and miniskirt paired with Stockings cosplay required patient tweaking to achieve flattering proportions.
In terms of makeup, to fit the angelic lore, eye makeup emphasized an enlarged eye contour, yet to match the sharp competence of the black leather jackets, the eyeliner was drawn longer to create an intriguing contrast. Shooting a Cosplay group photoshoot always feels like a grand gathering—seeing everyone suit up in their gear and strike unique poses makes all the exhaustion completely worth it. Although the shooting process was exhausting and left our backs aching from standing, seeing the seamless synergy of The Sankta of Laterano in the finished photos brought a great sense of accomplishment. This shoot also deepened my love for these characters in Arknights: Medjehtiqedti Bound; the metallic accents and black-and-white color blocking on the costumes looked truly premium in person.
