Holding this customized tachi with a perfectly balanced weight and a dreamlike glowing effect, this set of photos for Raiden Shogun can finally be officially released. Huge thanks to photographer Huaiyi for capturing these candid moments at the anime convention venue. Because the foot traffic in the exhibition hall was massive, it was truly not easy to shoot a set of photos with a clean enough background and spot-on light and shadow atmosphere. This time, after turning on all the LED light effects of the prop, the translucent texture of the blade and the lightning special effects turned out to be extremely eye-catching on camera. While holding it to strike poses, I could naturally find that confident and dominating aura of the character.

Speaking of the restoration of this costume, aside from the texture of the wig and the makeup of facial details, this modified Japanese-style kimono paired with over-the-knee boots and thick-soled geta sandals definitely required some mental preparation to move around the exhibition hall. Although the geta are accurate, my soles really couldn't take it after standing for a long time. However, since we wanted to produce great photos, I had to do my best to hold onto that sense of majesty unique to the Electro Archon in my posture. The water ripples and thundercloud totem prints on the clothing have an excellent texture under the overhead light, and combined with the multi-layered obi and tassels, the final visual effect of the photos is far more shocking than just looking at the physical items alone.

I was actually quite pressured when working on this production, because Raiden Shogun's character image in Genshin Impact is already deeply rooted in people's minds. Whether it's the facial expression or the sword-holding movements, I hoped to fit the feeling given by the original work as much as possible. Before the shoot, I also repeatedly watched the character's in-game idle animations and the sword-drawing slash multiple times, wanting to express her state of being relaxed yet possessing absolute control. During the live shoot, Huaiyi gave a lot of guidance, including the range of leg lifting, the angle of the sword tip, and the focus of the gaze watching the lens, ultimately producing these few photos that I am highly satisfied with. Although an anime convention environment is noisy, as long as you focus on the character itself and let the blade glow brightly, you can naturally pull the aura to the max. In fact, every time I cosplay a character with such a complex setup, I find many details that can be optimized next time, but for this finished product, just the texture of this lightning tachi alone makes it well worth commemorating through Anime-style photography.
