For this studio shoot of Haruhi Suzumiya, everything from the costume to the accessories was the focus of restoration. The blue-and-white sailor-collared short-sleeved uniform features a bright red bow at the neckline, paired with a sky-blue pleated skirt on the lower body. On the left arm is the armband with black characters on a red background, and on the head is a bright yellow bow headband. Fully armed for this look, the yellow megaphone in hand is also a highly eye-catching prop.

To present the character's dominance and confidence to make the world more lively, the photographer Pulao411 and I tried many different angles and postures in the studio. During the shoot, the costume material and lighting coordinated perfectly, making the blue and red on the clothes appear extremely pure, without any reflections or dullness issues. The wig was also specially adjusted, cut into a fluffy short bob effect, working with the lightweight bangs to express the character's adolescent flamboyance.

In this photoset, I tried different actions to fit the character design. When crossing my arms, I tried my best to restore that effortless composure; pointing my finger directly at the camera carried a hint of command and playful smirk, which is one of my favorite angles in the entire shoot; holding the megaphone close to my mouth to simulate shouting out loud, with a hand by the corner of my mouth, added a playful and mischievous atmosphere; there was also the moment of crossing one arm over my body while holding the megaphone, ready to give orders. Each movement was adjusted in coordination with micro-expressions.

Although this costume is not particularly heavy, to maintain the flatness of the clothes, the position of the skirt hem and the bow needed to be rearranged between every movement. Walking back and forth in the studio was actually quite physically demanding. However, since I wanted to restore this proactive and energetic character from the anime, being driven by such a strong personality while moving in front of the lens gave me a very satisfying sense of release instead. I feel that doing cosplay is not just about putting on that outfit, but more importantly, about capturing the character's momentum on stage or leading everyone to charge forward.

The overall atmosphere of this studio shoot was very relaxed, and the treatment of light and shadow in the frame also fit the character setting perfectly. I am highly satisfied with the final result. The photographer's grasp of composition and expressions was spot on, and the two of us efficiently completed this piece of portrait photography, preserving the brightly colored uniform and the character's vitality within this piece of anime-style photography.
