[Iuno cosplay] Wuthering Waves Iuno Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo outdoor Convention photos tidbits

These Wuthering Waves Iuno Convention photos are finally retouched and ready. They were shot under the scorching sun outside the Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo yesterday, and I'm hurrying to post them after organizing today.

This costume has an exceptional number of metal parts, especially the neck choker, arm armor, and waist accessories, which require minor adjustments for tightness when wearing them. Although it looks very textured, it is not light in weight, so I had to constantly watch out for bumps while walking around the venue. The wig features a gradient treatment, with blue twin-tails plus the ahoge on top of the head; to maintain the styling, I sprayed plenty of setting spray before heading out. To match the color tone of this outfit, the makeup specifically chose a translucent base, and the eyeshadow used a combination of blue and gold, trying to make the overall look ethereal yet slightly mysterious. In terms of props, that large blue-and-gold ring and the blue orb in hand are the visual focal points of the entire styling. When shooting outdoors yesterday, to find the right lighting angle, I followed the photographer around the venue for more than half a circle. Because the metal parts have strong reflections, under the strong sunlight of the outdoor location, I had to constantly adjust my footing to avoid overexposure of the highlights.

Picture 2 is a candid shot while resting on a black box inside the exhibition hall. Just at that moment, an overhead light shone down, making the leg lines and gold leg ornaments quite clear. This sitting posture can not only showcase the overall tailoring of the costume but also fully reveal the skirt hem and strapped high-heeled sandals. Picture 3 was taken when passing by a glass curtain wall; feeling that the reflection effect was great, I picked up my phone to record the state at that moment, accidentally capturing the reflection of the building behind and passing friends, creating a unique mirror-space feeling typical of convention photos.

This time at the Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo, I met many fellow fans, and everyone was extremely enthusiastic. Although outdoor shooting is quite tiring, the texture under natural light is indeed hard to replicate in a studio. Iuno's costume design is very unique, with an asymmetrical skirt hem and stitching of multiple materials, creating a strong dynamic feel during movement. To present the best state at the convention, I practiced standing postures and prop-holding methods in front of the mirror at home for a long time beforehand, trying to make the movements look natural and not stiff.

The temperature yesterday was indeed quite high, and walking back and forth inside and outside the venue wearing this outfit consumed a lot of physical energy. However, seeing the finished photos made me feel that all this sweat was worth it. Every time I do cosplay, it's a brand new experience—from trial makeup and adjusting costume details to on-site coordination with the photographer, every step requires patience. There are still many details of this Wuthering Waves Iuno styling that can be further optimized, such as the edge processing of props and the close-fitting degree of the costume. I hope to have an even better performance at the next convention.
