Putting on this red-and-white Rossi gear and standing under the streetlights at night, it felt as if I had truly jumped from the world of Arknights: Endfield into reality. For this shoot, I especially wanted to emphasize a dynamic sense of "real life," so instead of choosing stiff, static poses, I tried various moments of walking, leaning against railings, and even jumping. The photographer @-椰子罐- is very good at capturing natural light and shadow. We specifically looked for a street with a vintage red telephone booth and road signs as the background. The red-and-green color clashing combined with the nighttime bokeh effect gave the images both anime-style tension and everyday realism. The detail processing of the wig and the animal-eared cloak was crucial, especially the drape of the ears and the flow of the cape; I adjusted the internal support in advance to ensure they wouldn't deform while running. The white skirt hem and black techwear straps paired with these thick-soled red and black boots made the overall look appear both light and nimble, yet with a touch of tactical crispness. Because we wanted to shoot dynamically, I had to repeatedly adjust my center of gravity and facial expressions, trying to maintain the character's cool demeanor without looking too forced or unnatural. The casual and natural feeling in the final photos actually came from freezing the frame after countless times of executing and releasing movements. The materials of this costume have different light reflectance rates, which imposes high requirements on light sources during outdoor shoots. The light from streetlamps and shop signs happened to create nice layers, avoiding a flat look against a pure black background. The post-processing did not over-retouch the shapes, preserving the lived-in atmosphere of the environment, hoping to present a Rossi who is vivid and looks like she can walk freely through the streets.
