A great deal of effort went into the preparation phase for this Arknights: Endfield Rossi cosplay. Early wig trimming and color tuning were done to match the sleek, straight golden locks from the original character art. The biggest fear during the shoot was tangling, so the wig had to be smoothed out carefully with every pose change. To prevent the animal ears on the Red cloak hood from collapsing, structured inner supports were added to keep them crisp and upright. For the outfit, the lace texture on the white dress is remarkably delicate; to showcase its quality, a structured tulle was selected so the skirt would never look flat whether sitting or standing. The black corset was quite tight, requiring multiple lacing adjustments; keeping the core engaged throughout the entire session made it a true test of stamina. The black leg straps also had a fixed placement, requiring care when sitting down to avoid pinching the skin.
The greatsword prop (Claymore cosplay) was the centerpiece of the shoot. Its weight far exceeded expectations, feeling remarkably heavy in hand. The sword-raising pose in the third photo was especially tough to stabilize with one hand, requiring several angle changes to balance the center of gravity. Due to its length, ample studio clearance was needed to avoid bumping equipment or blocking reflector light. An Anime style studio photoshoot with extensive white backdrops tests lighting precision: large white areas easily blow out, and with the outfit being predominantly white, I paid close attention to the angle between my posture and the key light to preserve facial dimension. Makeup was also contoured more sharply to prevent studio lights from washing it out.
The seated pose in the first photo accentuated the leg lines and collarbones, with a languid yet slightly tsundere gaze matching her canon personality. Resting barefoot on the platform was chilly, but well worth it for the composition. Putting on tall boots for the second photo instantly transformed the posture into a crisp, capable, and confident stance. The third swinging action was designed around the Claymore cosplay—taking deep breaths to summon strength, exploding into the pose, and freezing for the shutter. Despite wearing just a light dress, constant physical exertion had me breaking a sweat. The pure white studio against the Red cloak and white dress delivered high visual contrast and a clean finish, blending fairytale maiden charm with sharp combat readiness to showcase Rossi's wonderful contrasting appeal.
