Last night, I finished this outdoor night shoot for Lucy cosplay. The cool tones and metallic bridge structure of Night City were highly photogenic. A lot of effort went into the texture of this gear; the red and black stripes on the high-gloss black boots are a highlight, and the white patchwork on the top combined with the waistband design looks very sleek to wear. During the shoot, to weaken the cluttered light sources, I tried using a telephoto lens to capture the compression effect of the depth of field. The cyan-blue street light spots through the metal girders formed a hazy cyberpunk vibe, and the faint reflection on the ground perfectly outlined the texture and silhouette of the glossy surface. In addition to matching the character's detached, cool expression, the grip on the props and the angle of the arms needed to be as relaxed as possible to present that sense of effortless strength amidst destiny from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. The mixed matte and glossy materials of the pants showed different effects under the light reflection, offering rich layers in the dark areas. When organizing this set of photos, I recalled that the temperature was a bit low that day, but the bodysuit material actually looked sharper and tougher at night. Compared to regular studio shoots, the outdoor ambient light definitely gives the character stronger vitality. Standing on the bridge in the wind, it felt as though I could truly hear the hum of electricity beneath the neon lights. During post-processing, this Anime-style photography set intentionally preserved the cyan-blue and noise in the ambient light without over-brightening it; the dim night view actually fits the atmosphere of the original anime better. The wig was trimmed in layers, not chasing a perfectly flowing look, but rather maintaining a slightly messy texture, matching her daily state after a battle. As a fan of Cyberpunk 2077 and the cyberpunk genre, this highly reflective material heavily tests the control of the scene's lighting ratioβit can easily become overexposed or completely crushed into black if one is not careful. Fortunately, the side backlight position on this bridge managed to hit highlight lines on the boot surfaces and the edges of the pants, outlining the character's athletic silhouette. When framing from a crouching posture, I could feel the slight chill from the metal frame, a physical sensation that made me immerse myself even deeper into the character. Although I practiced my balance for a long time before the outdoor shoot for this cross-legged sitting pose, the final photos made it completely worth it as a Cosplayer.
