I wanted to capture Noshiro's side as a "JK shipgirl" in the tranquil atmosphere of Hangzhou Dreamland. The focus of this makeup and styling was to restore Noshiro's iconic red and white horns and deep gaze, while carefully considering the clothing texture to showcase an atmosphere that is both well-behaved and slightly mysterious. During the shoot, I kept trying to interpret her subtle mindset of "wanting to hold hands but being shy," using micro-adjustments in eye expression and gestures to let static photos convey dynamic emotions. Thanks to photographer Qing Juejue for the perfect lighting, which precisely captured the delicate texture under the flow of light and shadow, with every composition being on point. I am very satisfied with this Noshiro look; the blend of delicate Japanese texture and JK style is just right. To restore both the dashing nature of a shipgirl and the gentleness of a young girl, we put a lot of effort into the details. Choosing Hangzhou Dreamland was because the architectural style is perfect for creating a dreamy, slightly nostalgic texture. Regarding lighting layout, I communicated repeatedly with the photographer to ensure the light perfectly outlined the pleats of the JK school uniform. Every subtle movement was designed so that the moment you see the photos, you can feel Noshiro's real emotion of being conflicted yet wanting to get closer. I hope you see the most authentic side of this character in my eyes and immerse yourself in this romantic 2D story.
