[Nicole Demara cosplay] Coolness and casualness of Zenless Zone Zero

This photoshoot was set in the steel-structure venue of an indoor convention, which happened to make good use of the cool ambient light and overhead top lighting to shape the character's cool and edgy traits. The wig used was lustrous, straight long Pink hair, specifically paired with black cat-ear-shaped hair accessories and small metal clips on the forehead to restore the character accurately.

Regarding the "gaze" mentioned in the post title, I put a lot of effort into the makeup this time. Wearing emerald green colored contacts, the eyeliner was elongated and slightly upturned, and the lower lashes were drawn in defined clusters, making the gaze appear sharper and slightly wild. This gaze is not just for accuracy, but also to convey that innate confidence and subtle rebellion in the character's bones. When shooting, I deliberately fine-tuned the angle of my chin, coordinating with the state of my eye muscles so that I appeared with a sense of scrutiny and control in the photos.

In terms of clothing, the upper body featured a minimalist white cropped short-sleeved T-shirt layered with a black glossy cropped jacket. This black patent-leather-like material provided great highlight reflections under the photography lights, enhancing the visual texture. The sleeves have a detached design, so black straps were added around the arms for fastening, keeping the overall lines from looking bulky due to the jacket.

The lower body styling is more intricate and serves as the visual focal point of the entire outfit. The black ultra-short shorts feature a circle of white fluff around the hem, visually increasing layering while keeping the black tone from feeling too dull. The waist belt system is relatively complex, including black leather straps with metal buckles and rivets. Comfort and ease of movement had to be considered here, so I applied a layer of anti-slip tape at the waist to prevent the belt from riding up while walking. On the left side, I also hung an eye-catching yellow-green prop device; the color of this accessory is very striking against the overall black-and-white palette, adding rich color contrast to the frame.

The lower body pairings effectively highlight the character's traits: I chose an asymmetrical black over-the-knee Black stockings design—standard length on the left, with straps added to the right thigh—paired with thick-soled black lace-up Martin boots, directly elongating the visual lines of the legs. When taking full-body photos, this kind of styling has high requirements for body posture and stance; one needs to tighten the core and stand with legs slightly apart to support the shape of the outfit and showcase that hardcore, slightly wild atmosphere.

The background is the steel-structure ceiling of the convention venue, with this industrial style naturally carrying a cyberpunk vibe. Although the silhouettes of other booths or crowds can be seen in the background, we deliberately chose a relatively open area during shooting, utilizing a telephoto lens to compress the background and emphasize the subject. During the shoot, one must not only mind facial expressions, but also pay attention to the relaxed feel of the overall posture.

An excellent cosplay work requires a whole sequence of processes to support it—from trimming wigs and setting makeup to organizing details when dressing and even engaging muscles to maintain poses during shooting. From my styling experience this time, the biggest impression was that despite having multiple fabric layers, the outfit maintained good breathability, allowing me to stay active in the venue for a long time. I hope this solid costume, makeup, and prop design allows everyone to feel the charm of the character herself, while also appreciating the dedication to detail in modern cosplay. Now I'm starting to pick photos to post updates, leaving a memorable souvenir for attending this convention.
