This post mainly documents my recent handmade Cosplay wigs and some fragments of my personal Anime-style makeup and styling. Crafting handmade wigs is a process that really tests patience, especially dealing with the hair roots. From receiving the base wig, sectioning is required right away. The Cosplay wig for this giveaway includes crimped bangs, overall styling, and glitter accents. Processing the hair strands is quite tedious; the wig needs to be secured onto a mannequin head first, followed by layer-by-layer crimping, which is currently the most effective way to add hair volume. Without this step, many 2D anime characters' hair would look flat and fail to recreate the fluffiness set in the original work. After crimping, flat ironing immediately follows to eliminate frizz. This step cannot be skipped, as it directly determines whether the wig achieves a silky, glossy texture. Once on the mannequin head, the front fringe is separated and set with warm air; this curvature frames the face nicely and fits the character design.

Speaking of styling techniques and how glitter is added, this involves a professional process rather than simply wearing it. Adding glitter elements serves to present a dreamier effect under specific shooting or stage light refractions. Incorporating a bit of shimmering elements makes the overall Anime-style makeup and styling feel more soulful. Regarding pricing, this time it is truly a non-profit giveaway: I waived the labor fee for handmade styling, so it only requires the base wig cost plus 16 RMB for packaging and shipping. If anyone has a specific character they want, feel free to leave a comment, and I will draw the winner at 8:00 PM on August 10th—consider it a sweet fate. By the way, running this giveaway is also my way of gathering good karma, as I need to get ready to grab concert tickets soon. Doing cosplay itself drains a lot of money and energy, and everyone works hard on their Anime-style makeup and styling routinely. My feeling is that if we can reduce costs while recreating characters, it’s really a wonderful thing.

Looking at some of my cosplay photos in the first picture, I can actually feel a slight sense of accomplishment. From wig color matching to makeup design and costume tailoring, every step was rehearsed in my mind many times to present a complete visual experience. Just like those Project SEKAI cosplay and BanG Dream! cosplay idols on stage, I am expressing my love for the works in my own way. Although I might not reach 100% professional standards, the sincerity in this handmade styling is very real. Precisely because I love these works, whenever I work on related styling, I naturally pour more effort into studying the fluffiness and hair flow of the Cosplay wig. The wigs from pictures two to five feature different shades and lengths, each with its unique texture and hair flow. While styling them, one gradually realizes the importance of hairstyles in character building—it directly impacts the mood of the whole picture.

Lastly, I hope everyone likes these little handmade creations. Whether it's Anime-style makeup and styling or a Cosplay wig, as long as it's crafted with heart, the results will show. Of course, during the styling process, one occasionally encounters bottlenecks that are hard to overcome, such as strands that are tricky to set or details that aren't delicate enough, all of which require continuous practice to improve. I hope this giveaway brings good photoshoot results to the lucky winner, and I also wish myself good luck in getting those tickets!
