A lot of care went into the exquisite details of this Ruan Mei outfit. The upper body features a large patch of deep sky blue blended with black and gold patterns, layered with an off-the-shoulder wide-sleeved greyish-white cover-up that instantly brings out rich dimension. The pearl necklace at the neck combined with the dark choker featuring a red pendant serves as a true highlight of the look. The blue-black long gloves on the hands and the dark leg ring on the leg create a wonderful color harmony.

The lighting at the venue was perfectly timed. Although the convention hall was crowded, the reflective floor material added a huge bonus to this convention photo set. A small white plush mat provided a clean surface for sitting and kneeling poses while making the overall color tone of the frame look purer. Holding this round fan featuring plum blossom patterns, the handle's tassel has great texture—making it not just a prop, but a medium to help shape the character's disposition.

The single-leg standing pose in the photos actually tested my balance heavily, because the outfit's high-slit design combined with high heels makes it easy to wobble without core strength support. Maintaining stability for this pose required multiple attempts before freezing a natural, stretched stance. When cosplaying this character, I specifically adjusted the details of the bangs and head accessories; subtle blue tones were blended into the long black hair, aligning nicely with the character's aloof feel. The eye makeup was also contoured a bit heavier, which, paired with light-colored contact lenses, enhanced camera capture effectiveness.

The poses chosen this time included sitting, reclining, kneeling, and the final single-leg standing pose, mainly aiming to present the outfit's performance across different angles as comprehensively as possible. The high-slit design indeed flatters the leg shape, and together with high heels, visually yields great leg proportions. This type of traditional Chinese style cosplay garment with modern tailoring relies heavily on pose fluidity during shoots, so I constantly fine-tuned elbow and shoulder positions based on camera angles.

Throughout preparing this piece, my biggest realization was the importance of detail accuracy. From glove length to fan surface, and down to garment patterns, every detail impacts the final aura of the shot. Although lighting at convention venues can be messy, finding the right angle and location lets you capture soft, natural results using ambient light. This set of convention photos didn't undergo heavy post-processing, preserving raw fabric textures and skin tones, as overly retouching a character with traditional Chinese elegance would ruin her natural atmosphere.

In fact, my favorite composition in this set is the single-leg standing shot. It not only showcases the beauty of the tailoring, but also achieves an ideal dynamic balance through holding the fan and slightly tilting the upper body. I hope this character presentation brings a visual experience everyone enjoys, capturing the character's unique reservedness and tranquility.
