This set of Shimoe Koharu cosplay photos was captured in the afternoon at an Outdoor swimming pool. Because reflections off the water were intense, we deliberately adopted a high-key photographic approach, using a wide aperture and front lighting to accentuate the shimmering ripples across the surface. For hair and makeup, pink synthetic wigs tend to tangle and lose volume in humid environments, so we thoroughly prepped the bangs and Pink twin tails with setting spray and waterproof treatment beforehand. Sitting inside the swim ring required constant leg adjustments—balancing smooth, elongated lines without letting harsh surface reflections disrupt visual translucency. The session was more physically taxing than expected; staying submerged while keeping balance placed substantial strain on the core and lower back. In post-processing, we fine-tuned the turquoise and emerald tones of the pool, suppressed blown-out highlight ripples, and added a soft-glow layer to blend the boundary between skin tones and water. The composition left negative space across the pool surface to enhance the Refreshing summer mood, pairing close-ups of the legs with seated half-body poses where underwater light patterns looked stunning. As our first attempt at such a high-exposure Waterside cosplay shoot, managing light and color from prep to retouching took meticulous care. The final ambiance captured the character's pure, adorable charm, making this an unforgettable summer experience.
