[Altria cosplay] Dark Gothic style Fate Convention Photos: Shooting Log of the Black Sheer & Rose Petal Set

The Convention photos from Relang Comic Con are finally organized, featuring Altria's look from Fate/Grand Order. From scene setup to shooting, everything was centered around a dark, brooding, and cold atmosphere. To recreate the aesthetic born from the corrupting mud, I worked with Master Wansheng, Master Fu, and others to construct a custom floor set—intertwining red rose petals, translucent white tulle, and black sheer fabric across the ground, accented with red ribbons to create a multi-layered space with genuine depth.

Physical stamina was pushed to the limit during early shooting. The massive greatsword and chained skull props carried substantial weight, and sustaining the character's presence amidst the noisy convention floor required continuous postural adjustments. The outfit featured a form-fitting dark blue slip dress paired with long black gloves and Black stockings cosplay. To highlight leg lines and sultry elegance, I deliberately chose half-crouching or side-seated poses so the sleek contours wrapped in black stockings sat perfectly within the frame, coordinating with the photographer to accentuate elongated curves.

Makeup and post-processing were also central to this set. I wore cool-toned base makeup with crimson eyeshadow and lips, creating sharp color blocking between red, white, black, and blue. Photographer Tankao possessed stellar candid capture skills, utilizing wide apertures to melt the background and control distracting indoor light. In post-processing, I crushed the highlights and elevated cool blue tones in the shadows, making the crimson petals pop vividly. This blend of crushed highlights and high contrast enhanced the suffocating tension and mysterious Dark Gothic style ambiance.

Because of the black stockings, capturing the right sheen under cool studio light was tricky, so we tested various angles on stage until the stocking fabric revealed a subtle, delicate luster. Posing in this dress heavily tested core stability—holding the heavy sword meant keeping the spine upright to prevent the posture from collapsing.

What makes Convention photos so captivating is how authentically they capture this dedication and focus. The moment the shutter froze, paired with the dynamic falling red petals, made the final results truly rewarding. This convention session documented the character's cold, steely side while granting me fresh insights into set design and photographer synergy.
