In the early morning bamboo forest, light filtered through the leaves with a serene touch of green, making it perfect for portraying such a natural and vibrant character. A lot of effort went into the costume. This cheongsam-collared top features a mix of brown and bright yellow, blending traditional Chinese charm with the nimble and lively feel from the game. The black arm guards and gloves feature golden cloud pattern decorations, and the overall details are very accurate to the source material. The black-and-yellow color-blocked high-heeled short boots with red straps not only visually elongate proportions, but also required me to constantly mind my balance while walking and posing. Of course, the most eye-catching part is the red polearm in hand. The prop itself has some weight to it, with the silver painted spearhead contrasting sharply against the red shaft. Location shooting really tests physical endurance and patience. The ground in the bamboo forest was covered with fallen leaves, and standing firm in high-heeled boots required extra effort. To showcase the leg lines and overall costume proportions, I tried multiple angles, such as sitting on stones and standing among the bamboo. The photographer emphasized character dynamics and interaction with the environment during composition, using a wide aperture to blur the background bamboo leaves and make the subject stand out. From reviewing raw photos to the final edits, every single shot recorded the sunlight, breeze, and our focus at the time. As a location coser who loves trying different styles, preparing a photo set that requires this much action coordination takes immense patience. From styling and maintaining the wig to makeup longevity and organizing small props, every detail counts. Although my back and shoulders often felt sore after the shoot, seeing that vivid character in the final photos makes all the effort worthwhile.
