[Seele Vollerei cosplay] Home Turf of the Sea of Quanta in Honkai Impact 3rd

This Honkai Impact 3rd Seele Vollerei cosplay look required a lot of thought from planning to execution. Since I decided to cosplay this character, I wanted to do my best to refine every detail.

The outfit features a color-blocked patchwork of blue, white, and purple. The top has an off-shoulder white design with a very distinct silver-purple pendant neck piece at the collar, where the central red gem decoration and teardrop-shaped pattern serve as one of the key soul elements of this costume. The skirt on the lower body has rich layers, with a blue-purple gradient paired with white outer pleats that feel light and airy when walking. Red ties at the waist combined with a dark belt neatly outline the waistline.

The wig is very interesting—a short hairstyle interwoven with black and blue. The signature curved ahoge at the crown was hand-crafted to adjust its arc, and paired with a red leaf-like hairpiece on the side, I'm quite satisfied with the level of restoration. I specially selected light blue contact lenses to match the eye makeup, making the gaze look cooler and closer to the character's disposition in photos.

The scythe prop is massive. Although the material was lightweighted, it measures nearly two meters long, making balance quite a test when taking mirror selfies. The blade has a distinct curved structure, and the tri-color blue, purple, and white pattern gives it visual weight. The top of the handle features a custom design rather than a simple straight rod, looking formidable when fully assembled. Holding the leverage point during shooting allows stable control over the entire prop's center of gravity.

Because it was shot in a white studio against a mirror, the lighting was even, allowing the white background to highlight the blue-purple outfit beautifully. To capture a good full-body effect, I had to hold my phone at the right height while ensuring the scythe hung naturally or rested on my shoulder, which took considerable effort in finding angles. I tried various poses, such as standing straight or on one leg. The single-leg pose highlighted leg muscle lines and the fine white geometric patterns of the tights, balancing nicely with the black high stool behind.

The purple pantyhose paired on the legs is one of the highlights. It isn't ordinary plain tights, but features clear white geometric line designs matching the character's leg decorations precisely. Combined with black platform high-heeled ankle boots, it visually elongated my leg proportions. I love combining costume details with body movements. The texture of the stockings appeared sleek under studio lights, enhancing the overall visual layering.

Regarding the character, Seele Vollerei in Honkai Impact 3rd has many complex lore settings in the story, and this multifaceted nature gives more room for creative expression during cosplay. This look focuses more on her light, quantum ghost-like feel. Trying different standing postures and waving gestures ensured the scythe presentation harmonized with body posture. The moment I put on the wig and props, I felt immersed in the character's aura.

Every time I seriously work on a cosplay, I study costume tailoring, wig styling, and prop structures. Although the process is tedious, achieving the desired atmospheric feel on camera makes it completely worth it. Especially with large props like this, figuring out how to handle them effortlessly requires careful thought. This white studio shoot allowed me to focus on the outfit's colors and the character's disposition rather than complex background elements.
