["Psychologist" - Everlasting Dream cosplay] Identity V Qinghua Makeup Modification Record

The core challenge of this Qinghua makeup modification for Identity V's "Psychologist" - Everlasting Dream lay in how to translate the exaggerated proportions and stylized shading of a 3D model onto real facial bone structure in a balanced and organic way. For the base makeup, I went all out: beyond applying an ultra-high coverage matte foundation to build an icy-fair porcelain canvas, I blended extensive blue contouring along the bridge of the nose, cheekbones, and hollows of the cheeks to heighten structural dimension and reinforce the non-realistic skin tone concept.

The eye makeup served as the true centerpiece. To faithfully recreate the glass-marble-like blue eyes from the original art, I laid down a broad base of light purple, followed by deep navy smudging in the outer corners and eye sockets. Utilizing a cut-crease technique produced high-contrast gradient layering, topped off with luminous bright blue contacts. Rather than rendering natural, hair-like eyebrow strokes, I applied an oil-pastel-textured blue pigment to carve out discontinuous, geometric color blocks across the brow bone, thoroughly replicating the polygon planes of the 3D model.

The golden totems sprawling across the forehead and cheeks were the signature highlights of this look. The crescent moon, radiant starburst rays, vertical golden divider down the forehead, and the cascading teardrop trails beneath the eyes were all hand-drawn using metallic glitter gel mixed with fine gold powder. Since the pigment dries rapidly, maintaining smooth, flowing lines and soft edge transitions demanded intense concentration. The lips were painted with a deep purple-blue lip stain and layered with clear gloss for a mirror-like shine, finished with a golden vertical strip affixed squarely at the center of the lower lip.

Early prep for wig styling and accessory assembly required immense dedication as well. The dark blue curls had to be shaped with pomade and hairspray to achieve airy volume, which then anchored the trailing golden star-and-moon vine branches and geometric necklace to command the overall atmosphere for the shoot. Stacking heavy pigments and metallic elements across the face places extreme demands on skin hydration and setting techniques to avoid caking. The entire application took around three hours; while cleansing and removal proved grueling, bringing the mental vision of the character into reality with my own hands was an intensely rewarding creative thrill.
