To match the theme of Yin Ziping wishing everyone a Happy New Year, I specifically emphasized a cool and pure aesthetic in styling. In terms of makeup and hair, I used a high-gloss long straight black wig, delicately secured at the back with white floral accessories and tassel ribbons to ensure the hair maintained a flowing, dynamic movement in the natural breeze. The outfit itself features exquisite black piping and cutout details; to give the silhouette a firmer, more upright shape, I wore professional undergarments beneath, which provided security while better supporting the Qipao cosplay silhouette.
The sunlight was intense on the day of the shoot, making it easy to blow out highlights under high-key lighting. Therefore, I adjusted the shooting angles so the white architecture acted as a natural reflector board, while using feather props and a folding fan to control highlight areas, recreating that pristine, pure-as-jade texture of Chalcedony ice core. During posing, I paid close attention to subtle movements: for instance, when sitting on the railing, slightly extending and straightening the legs accentuated the snug fit of the White stockings, while holding the removed heels added a touch of everyday life. When standing, utilizing hand-held feathers for framing and stretching the hem visually enhanced the length of the legs. My favorite shot is the seated pose—the angle of crossing and extending the legs displayed slender contours just right, with the white fan and the lace on the skirt echoing each other, while the smile brought out the festive New Year cheer. Whenever doing a Qipao cosplay with specific outfits, picking the right setting and props is crucial; the luminous transparency of this outfit under sunlight combined with warm white tones created visual harmony, not only faithfully restoring the character's temperament but also incorporating my personal touch.
