[Ichinose Asuna Cosplay] Blue Archive Maid Outfit, Joyful Convention Photos from Firefly ACG Expo

May Day Firefly ACG Expo convention photos are here! The on-site shooting effect for this Ichinose Asuna maid outfit turned out incredibly well.

This time I cosplayed Ichinose Asuna from Blue Archive. Compared to other versions, the accompanying maid outfit styling conveys a more playful and energetic vibe. The entire outfit is dominated by classic black and white, accented with sky blue at the collar and waist, and the hair accessory is a matching color bow, giving the garment excellent layering. The wig is long, straight blonde hair, paired with soft fox ears and that massive tail behind me, successfully recreating almost the entire essence of the character. Another highly eye-catching feature is naturally the blue glowing halo above my head, secured to the headband with a bracket, which provides a strong presence during the shoot without being too cumbersome.

The temperature during these two days of the convention was quite suitable, but the exhibition hall was still rather stuffy. Shooting in this maid outfit was relatively breathable, so I didn't suffer much from the heat. There were actually tons of visitors at the convention venue. To get a cleaner background, we specifically chose a spot next to a large pillar, utilizing the soft natural light there mixed with the indoor overhead lights, which made the resulting skin texture look very translucent.

During the shoot, the silver aluminum alloy suitcase I brought with me turned into a particularly practical prop. It not only held some miscellaneous items but also substituted as a chair for me to sit and pose. Sitting on it to throw a peace sign or lift one leg beautifully showcased the lines of the black stockings and high heels, while also clearly capturing the folds of the maid dress and the lace-up details on the chest. During the shoot, I also deliberately adjusted my posture, such as standing with hands behind my back or twisting my waist while sitting sideways, to emphasize the playful yet subtly sexy characteristics of this outfit.

The photographer used a large-aperture prime lens while shooting this set. The lens's blur effect turned the passing visitors in the background into soft bokeh, without stealing the focus from the main subject, making the visual presentation of the entire photo set very clean. These photos didn't undergo excessive post-processing; we mainly adjusted the color temperature to restore that bright and open sense of atmosphere at the venue.

Throughout the role-playing process, I always hoped to stay as close as possible to Asuna's lively yet occasionally slightly ditzy personality, so I let loose a bit more with some of my expressions. While walking around the exhibition zone in this outfit, I was occasionally stopped by passing fellow fans for photos. Being able to interact with everyone at the Firefly ACG Expo and leave behind these memorable convention photos was truly an enjoyable experience.

I also gained a small insight into the maintenance of this gear after completing the shoot. For instance, the wig and beast ears need a bit of care during the commute to avoid being crushed out of shape, and because that big tail is quite bulky, I had to turn my body slightly sideways when navigating through the crowds. Overall, though, this outfit has high recognition, and I am personally most satisfied with the composition and expressiveness of the few poses standing on or next to the suitcase.
