[Iuno Cosplay] The Blue and White Charm of Daoxiang Village: Cosplay Outfit Insights on Hair Accessory Selection

The blue and white color scheme of this Iuno Daoxiang Village outfit really compliments the skin tone. Navy blue and pure white interweave, plus a large amount of gold piping and rope knot decorations, making the visual layers incredibly rich. The high-collar trimmed design of the neckline elongates the neck lines, which, combined with the hollow-out cut on the chest and complex golden rope knots, adds a touch of solemnity and sophistication to the overall look. The sleeve part is off-the-shoulder paired with large wide sleeves; the golden hidden pattern embroidery on the sleeves has a wonderful texture under natural light, and combined with the piping on the sleeve edges, whether lifting a hand or holding a fan, it creates a highly flowing atmosphere.

Regarding the bow hair bun mentioned in the post description, when I first saw the official design illustrations, I indeed thought that large hair bun was extremely cute, possessing an inherent moe attribute. But after actually getting it and trying it on, I found that because the volume of the hair bun is relatively large, and I already have the blue and white hair colored twin-tails and fur ball top ornaments, stacking that large bow on top would make the head look very heavy and lower the visual center of gravity. After weighing it repeatedly, to make the overall look appear lighter and crisper, I chose to discard that hair accessory. Using fur balls and golden tassel earrings as the primary embellishments for the head, this both preserves the original design highlights and avoids a cumbersome feeling due to too many head accessories. The curvature of the twin-tails was also styled just right, and the ahoge on top of the head was slightly set, making the whole person look more energetic and playful.

I am very satisfied with the Cosplay outfit coordination for the lower body, choosing white calf-high socks paired with black platform Mary Jane shoes. This kind of pairing is highly classic in cosplay costumes, which can not only connect beautifully with the color palette of the navy blue short skirt, but also dramatically elongate the leg proportions, shifting the center of gravity of the entire body's visual effect upward. The outer navy blue skirt hem is edged with golden lines, and the inner layer is a white pleated skirt, showing plenty of layers when walking around. Paired with the blue folding fan prop in hand, the blue-base white-patterned fan surface echoes the overall costume very harmoniously; whether unfolded or half-hidden in hand, it beautifully enriches body movements.

Speaking of the photoshoot, this time it was mainly using a phone for mirror selfies and close-up shots. Under the illumination of the overhead light in Photo 1, the luster of the wig performed very well, and the slightly curled bangs and light blue eye color formed a cool-toned unity. For the makeup, I didn't do it in a highly exaggerated way, primarily emphasizing the clarity of the blue colored contacts, paired with a slight blush and soft lip color, aiming to present a bright, energetic state that yet carries a hint of the character's unique cool demeanor. In the full-view mirror photo of Photo 2, I tried a combination of lifting a leg and standing naturally, which happens to fully display the entire costume's silhouette and the shoe-and-sock pairing. Whether it's the playfulness of the one-legged stance or the natural posture looking straight ahead, it makes this look of Iuno cosplay from Daoxiang Village appear more three-dimensional. This is a wonderful showcase of Chinese-style ACG elements on a blue-haired girl.
