[Genshin Impact cosplay] Day 1 of C108, this new pajama skin outfit is truly super cozy to sleep in

Today was the first day of C108, and I headed straight to the venue geared up in this newly released pajama skin. Waking up at 6:00 AM to do my makeup, the wig styling was finished late last night. That gradient lavender tone of the Purple color scheme is truly difficult to blend; to recreate the fluffy, slightly lazy curls from the original illustration, I blended two wigs together for braiding and finally secured it with styling spray. The outfit was custom-tailored by a dressmaker: the white fabric is a faux silk satin with a subtle sheen, while the purple bows and piped trims on the skirt hem were sewn on by hand. In particular, those white plush animal shoes were stuffed with thick cotton padding, making walking feel like treading on clouds, though the soles of my feet did feel a bit sore by the end of the day.

In the morning, I mainly organized merchandise around the booth. Around midday and throughout the afternoon, I hung around near the official photo area at the Genshin Impact booth. The lighting there was fantastic—the ceiling lights cast down a soft warm-yellow glow, very similar to the feel of shooting on the rug at home. However, it was truly crowded on site. Hugging that large blue-and-white bolster pillow (which was actually filled with an inflatable bladder to keep it plump and puffy), I sat in the rest area next to the booth and ended up surrounded by several photographers, who commented that this posture was brimming with everyday life realism. I casually picked up two beverage cans as props—originally to mimic that casual drink-sipping vibe from the illustration—but the cans had gotten baking hot under the sun and were almost hard to hold.

Around 4:00 PM, I decided to head over to the East 8 rooftop to snap a few backlit shots. The wind on the rooftop was very strong and blew the wig into a bit of a mess, but that airy, fluttering flow actually matched the relaxed state of lounging on soft cushions from the original art. I deliberately found a corner with a low wooden cabinet, arranging a table lamp and several books to recreate that cozy vignette. Since it was outdoors, the light was somewhat cool, so post-processing will probably require color grading toward a Purple color scheme. The tricky part of this Pajama cosplay lay in the shoes: because the soles are completely flat and the toe box is round, walking was prone to tripping, so I had to hold the handrails carefully when going up and down stairs. But to faithfully restore that "fluffy paw" effect, I gladly endured it.

Some fellow fans asked if this was a new skin, and I told them yes; moreover, this skin design has a wonderful homewear feel. The white dress accented with purple touches is great for wearing during high-intensity venue roaming at conventions—at least it doesn't feel stiflingly hot like heavy armor. However, the skirt is a bit short, so I had to be mindful when sitting down and wore safety shorts underneath. Today I also met many skilled photographers who captured the moment of me lying on the rug resting my chin in my hands, saying that angle framed the legs and shoe styling perfectly with the aesthetic composition of an anime illustration. I originally wanted to take a shot identical to the reference, but since the venue rug was gray, I laid a purple cloth on the floor instead.

Later, coming down from the rooftop, I browsed other booths and bought a few doujinshi. The greatest takeaway from today was getting "candidly snapped" by several passersby—they thought I didn't notice, but I saw it all; being captured on camera like that is quite fun because everyone's shots were very natural without forced stiffness. For accessories in this Genshin Impact cosplay, I added a light purple headband and wore small star-shaped stud earrings; though barely noticeable in the photos, the real-life shimmer was lovely.

To be honest, cosplaying this non-combat pajama character tests costume quality even more than combat characters. The lens focuses closely on fabric creases, the three-dimensional form of the bows, and the rounded contours of the shoes. I did a fitting trial a week in advance and found the cuffs too loose, so I sewed concealed snap buttons. In addition, I drafted the blueprint for the bolster pillow myself and had a custom plush toy shop craft it; the blue-purple geometric color blocks used appliqué patchwork, which was not cheap, but the result was immensely satisfying.

Overall, although exhausting, today was thoroughly fulfilling for Anime convention daily life. When wrapping up the final shot on the rooftop in the late afternoon, the setting sun happened to illuminate the lamp on the low cabinet, its warm glow almost perfectly overlapping with the lamp's tone in the original illustration. At that moment, all the preparation felt entirely worthwhile. I have booth duty again tomorrow and hope to meet more wonderful fans to shoot this cozy, lazy homewear style together!
