This shoot chose an all-black leather bondage-style outfit, combining both dark and gothic elements. To match this devil theme, the hairstyle chose black-and-white gradient wavy curls, paired with purple devil horn hair accessories, making the overall tone very clear. For the makeup, eye makeup was the focus. I used a large area of pink tones to blend around the eye area, creating a slightly tipsy, yandere, and somewhat sweet-melancholic feeling, matching with eyelashes and eyeliner to enlarge the eyes, making the gaze look both innocent and carrying a hint of danger. The base makeup was kept clean so the contrast against the pure white background would be stronger.
The clothing is the soul of this styling. The black leather harness vest features a complex cutout design, with metal rings and studs adding a tough feel, while the inner lace edges soften the hardness of the leather. A choker with metal decorations was worn around the neck. The lower garment is a black lace tulle mini skirt, providing a light, layered feel when walking or posing. The leg pairing is a highlight: pure white pantyhose and the dark-style leather outerwear create a strong visual contrast. A thin white garter belt was added to the left thigh, along with a pink-and-brown plush leg warmer, making the collision of textures very interesting. The shoe design is asymmetric: the right foot wears a thick-heeled black strappy boot, while the left foot wears only white pantyhose, and this asymmetry is extremely eye-catching in front of the lens.
The shooting location chose a pure white background, maximizing the prominence of the character and the black-themed clothing. The site was arranged with many props: a black wooden bar stool, intertwined metal chains, coarse hemp rope scattered on the ground, as well as black pillar candles and pink-purple candle holder props. Together, these elements reinforced the theme atmosphere of roses and chains. In terms of posing, to fit the slightly warning-like setting of testing a devil's bottom line, I tried many poses showcasing body lines. For example, sitting on the ground hugging the knees with one hand grasping the straps in front of the chest, or pulling the black lace straps across the knees with both hands. The pose of looking back over the shoulder with one's back to the bar stool showcased the crossed straps and skin lines on the back. The use of props was also quite particular: the iron chains felt cold and heavy in hand, and the roughness of the hemp rope contrasted with the softness of the plush leg warmer. The white pantyhose showed great texture under the lighting, and close-ups of the soles of the feet were also an angle heavily tried in this shoot—presenting a lazy yet aggressive atmosphere through the contrast between the platform boots and the barefoot-like sensation of wearing only stockings, along with slightly tensing the leg muscles. Throughout the entire shoot, although wearing high heels and complex equipment was tiring, the final photo results truly showcased that dark, sweet-melancholic, edgy gothic style to the fullest.
