Taking advantage of the lighter crowds at the China International Comics Festival (CICF) in Guangzhou, the photographer and I quickly captured a set of convention photos featuring this white dress look. On set, we used Godox AD200PRO II bare-bulb square heads for direct lighting in a dual-light setup, creating crisp, punchy illumination. This direct-flash method worked wonderfully in front of the glass curtain walls to cut through reflections, cleanly showcasing the textures of both the blue-toned wig and the white gown.

Convention spaces are inherently busy, so we intentionally picked a corridor with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and dark polished flooring. For the first shot, I lifted the hem of the dress while balancing on one foot to create a breezy, dynamic flow, pairing the pink bouquet in hand to add a lovely color accent against the red ribbon bow. Subsequent shots were taken seated on the sleek floor, utilizing reflections to enrich the composition's depth. In the dim, industrial hallway, placing a rim light from behind while gazing up with a turned torso allowed highlights to catch the edges of my hair and shoulders, building great atmosphere.

This photo set placed high demands on precision lighting; the direct square-head flash provided defined dimensional contrast, making the white dress and wig look exceptionally luminous in the cool-toned environment. Standing in high heels for so long was exhausting on the feet, but seeing how the bouquet, ribbons, and cool backdrop came together made the entire effort worthwhile. Huge thanks to Godox lighting support and the photographer for their hard work.
