[Jeanne d'Arc cosplay] Lord, I Offer Myself to Thee

This Fate/Grand Order Jeanne d'Arc cosplay work was shot at a bright Outdoor photography venue. On the day of the shoot, we happened to encounter continuous strong winds, which brought a lot of unexpected vitality to the images. The character of Jeanne d'Arc possesses a unique, resilient temperament, so in terms of styling and posture, I chose a more restrained yet resolute expression. To match different shooting angles and compositions, the wig showcased two states: in some photos, it features a fresh, casual short hair style, while in side-glance and back-shot close-ups, it switches to her iconic golden side braid. This transition better reproduces the character's atmosphere in different contexts.

Regarding the outfit setup, I chose a white shirt made of crisp fabric paired with a violet necktie, topped with a deep purple off-the-shoulder short jacket with white piping trim, retaining her original design's fusion of combat gear and uniform. The lower half features matching purple high-waisted shorts, specially paired with matching purple Over-the-knee stockings and black short boots. This combination is visually crisp and nicely enhances her body lines. The dark wing-like tattoo sticker on the back is a detail I really love in this look; under soft outdoor light, it gives the back-shot close-ups a stronger sense of storytelling and iconic recognition.

As for props, the long-handled flag used in the shoot was indeed very heavy. The material of the pole combined with the flag surface catching the wind made raising it require significant arm strength when gusts blew. However, thanks to the fluttering flag and wind-blown hair strands, the photos gained a dynamic beauty. The photographer kept catching the rhythm of the wind, pressing the shutter right as gusts swept across the banner to create a vivid sense of her rushing to the battlefield or traveling through wind and dust. This photo set didn't intentionally pose in overly complex stances; instead, it relied more on the natural feel brought by the breeze and her gaze toward the camera, hoping through these subtle nuances to capture Jeanne d'Arc's powerful yet gentle, pure character.

During the shooting process, we actually faced a few challenges as well. For instance, due to strong winds, hair frequently blew across my face and blocked my vision, and the shirt collar and jacket were ruffled by the wind. Fortunately, my partner and the photographer were very patient, constantly helping me adjust the wig and smooth out garment wrinkles so that the final satisfying visual could be presented before the lens. Overall, the light on the shoot day was very clear; under such natural lighting, the purple-and-white outfit pairing appeared remarkably bright, displaying great visual depth without needing excessive post-processing filters.

The caption in the post, "Lord, I Offer Myself to Thee," along with "Joyeux anniversaire" and "Happy Birthday, Jeanne," added an extra layer of tribute and commemoration to this outdoor shoot. My understanding of Jeanne is not merely a brave and fearless warrior, but also a maiden harboring faith and purity—traits all reflected in her attire. Through this photo set, I hope to display her tough yet gentle side, moving beyond superficial Roleplay recreation to convey the character's true spirit in every gesture. Although outdoor shooting inevitably involves sun exposure, with hair being blown messy and fixed over and over, seeing the flow and light-and-shadow effects captured in the final photos made everything feel entirely worthwhile. I hope this sincere set brings everyone a fresh visual experience.
