For this Arknights Fiammetta uniform, I invested substantial thought into the choice of materials. The canon design is richly layered; the outermost layer consists of a black-and-white color-blocked coat with subtle sheen and crisp white piping along the edges. To recreate that authentic texture, I compared fabrics across multiple vendors, ultimately settling on a textile with a gentle sheen that clearly outlines the garment's silhouette even in low-light environments. Underneath is a white long-sleeved dress shirt paired with a red necktie at the collar, where the insignia and star patterns were individually printed beforehand—details could not be compromised.
The two-tone Red and white wig was undeniably the centerpiece of this look. The fringe across the forehead needed precise, airy wisps trimmed with natural separation, ensuring the white bangs retained enough loft without sticking flat against the brow. For the crimson hair behind, I tied it into twintails topped with two small hair buns, using generous amounts of styling spray to lock the shapes in place. Though the wind was light on shoot day, micro-adjusting poses still invited stray frizz, so I kept a pocket comb and hairspray on hand for constant touch-ups.
In terms of props, the golden candelabra in the first shot was made of genuine solid brass, carrying a hefty weight in hand. Holding it single-handedly while maintaining poised, elegant arm lines left my shoulders and wrists aching over time, yet the warm golden candlelight washing over my side profile and costume harmonized beautifully with the tones of the classical oil paintings in the background, instantly conjuring that vintage theatrical aura. The weapon prop featured in the second photo channeled a completely different vibe—a black-and-silver palette with a sleek mechanical form. Gripping it firmly across my chest with black gloves and red wrist wraps provided a deeply grounded tactile hold.
For the makeup, I selected reddish-brown colored contacts to harmonize with the Red and white wig, lending profound depth to my gaze. The eye makeup deepened the eye contours with subtly elongated wings, avoiding overly dramatic false lashes to preserve a cool, razor-sharp refinement. The base was kept predominantly matte, as intricate ambient lighting on location easily flattens high-gloss complexions.
The studio setting was an interior space adorned with vintage oil paintings and ornate gilded picture frames. This classical, solemn atmosphere created an intriguing aesthetic collision with the uniform's sharp, cool detachment. Capitalizing on the dark-toned ambiance, the photographer directed key light precisely onto my face and props, making me stand out distinctly against the moody backdrop. In the first photo, I adopted a side-seated pose, deliberately fanning out the skirt's white pleated ruffles and leg contours to introduce breathability and visual tension, which cleanly highlighted the lower hem's layered architecture. The second photo focused on a weapon-bearing close-up, requiring an unflinching, focused stare that projected a calm yet assertive poise.
The entire shoot was a rigorous test of physical stamina and focus. Wearing multiple dense layers meant the interface between the sleeves and the coat required constant realignment to drape naturally. Though my body ached by the end, seeing the faithful reproduction of lighting, shadow, and garment textures filled me with immense accomplishment.
