The Convention photos from Dreamland Convention Day 3 are finally retouched! This time, I'm sharing my custom Lolita outfit coordination look for Lynette from Genshin Impact. Although battling the freezing winter in an out-of-season miniskirt was tough, seeing how eye-catching the results turned out made it a painfully sweet experience.

In choosing the costume, rather than strictly replicating the original in-game skin, I approached it from a Lolita style. The main piece is from after 12am's 'Little Phantom Thief' series; the black-and-white color blocking outlines the crisp precision of a magician, while the light purple hem softens the monochrome solemnity, adding a lovely girlish touch. The spade playing card emblem inlaid on the chest and the mini top hat in hand clearly emphasize the 'magician kitten' theme. Combined with the fluffy animal ears and a long tail, the cuteness level is instantly maximized.

The Black tights outfit paired with black high-heeled boots on the lower body stood out remarkably against the convention floor. This pairing not only visually elongates the leg line, but also infuses the entire Lolita look with a blend of rebellion and elegance. Because the skirt features asymmetrical pleats and ruffles, the light, flowing motion combined with the sleek legs caught plenty of shutter clicks at the venue.

The backdrop for this set was inside the exhibition hall. Although the lighting was somewhat cluttered, the photographer used flash along with a shallow depth-of-field blur to effectively blur out the background crowd and pillars, focusing all attention on me. The backward glance in the first photo, the reaching hand pose from behind in the second, the raised arm pose in the third, and the seated pose with the cane in the final photo were all designed to showcase the outfit's beauty in both motion and stillness. The shot sitting on the high stool in particular—with simply crossed legs, cane, and top hat—beautifully exudes the calm composure of a magician preparing to take the stage.

For the makeup, huge thanks to the makeup artist's skilled hands. While keeping Lynette's signature blue-purple eye makeup palette, she added black star accents under the lower eyelids. These accents not only added dimension to my facial features but also made my expression more lively, perfectly matching the character's mysterious yet playful persona.

In truth, the day of the convention was freezing, and the venue's air conditioning was blasting; wearing a miniskirt and off-the-shoulder top was a true test of willpower. But seeing everyone raise their cameras or running into fellow fans for photos instantly made the fatigue vanish. From building the Lolita style concept to final photographic retouching, a tremendous amount of care went into this project. Although the bows, collar, and magician elements were complex to wear, seeing the final images made every bit of effort worth it. The true magic of Convention photos lies in capturing not just the character, but also my own immersive joy and focus at the convention. Just like the post says: the magician kitten has officially arrived. I hope this photo set conveys the thought and ingenuity behind this custom Lolita outfit.
