[Blue Archive] Energetic Millennium Science School Cheerleader at Firefly ACG Expo

The hall lighting at Firefly ACG Expo was very clear and bright on that day, and the grey floor provided excellent reflective effects, making it especially suitable for shooting this blue-and-white Millennium Science School Cheerleader uniform set. Looking back at the shooting process, the overall experience was actually much lighter and easier than imagined, especially the halter neck and backless design, allowing my shoulders and back to move freely without any sense of restriction.

This outfit is rich in details: a greyish-white choker around the neck, a blue bow tie with a metal buckle in the center, paired with blue goggles and fluffy animal ears on top, giving off both a sporty and tech-inspired vibe. The yellow halo floating above the head is the finishing touch of the whole look, subtly reflecting light differently under various shooting angles. The pleated skirt on the lower half adopts a widened high-waisted cut, with deep blue wide stripes vertically spliced on the side, clearly embroidered with the letters \"MILLENNIUM\", as well as hidden pet paw-print checkered patterns on the waist and belly, adding rich layers to the plain fabric.

To match this sporty outfit, I specially chose bright yellow pom-poms as shooting props. The color-blocking combination of the three main colors—blue, white, and yellow—was unexpectedly bright in front of the lens. On my feet were thick-soled white shoes and white ankle socks, making the leg lines look longer and allowing comfortable walking inside the exhibition hall for a long time. For makeup, I chose blue contact lenses paired with a small area of glitter at the outer corners of the eyes, and applied delicate star glitters on my cheeks and arms, giving the overall look more of a stage presence through these subtle embellishments.

Wanting to showcase the energy and dynamism unique to cheerleaders, I specially designed several dynamic poses during the shoot. For example, standing on one leg with a knee bent backward, jumping while raising pom-poms high in both hands, and waving pom-poms in a kneeling posture. In order to capture the most natural and stretched moments, this set of photos actually consumed a lot of physical energy, as I jumped back and forth many times. Luckily, the atmosphere at Firefly ACG Expo that day was very enthusiastic. Surrounded by fellow fans and passing tourists communicating with each other in front of booths, the entire space was full of vitality, making the process of repeated posing not tedious at all.

The convention lighting and the behind-the-scenes photography team worked together seamlessly; the side light source on-site perfectly outlined the costume's contours and waistline. When wrapping up the shoot, I could finally sit down in the rest area to relax. Looking at the endless stream of people passing through the exhibition hall, I truly felt the joy this convention brought to everyone. In reality, playing such a passionate, energetic character is not only a small physical challenge for myself, but also a joy of turning a 2D image into reality.

Reflecting on putting on makeup, wearing accessories, and freezing every shutter click today, everything felt so fulfilling. Instead of choosing complex character outfits, I used this light and crisp athletic look for this convention share, hoping that the flying skirts and full smiles under the lens can truly restore that vitality and vigor belonging to a youthful campus. After the shoot was completed, browsing through the raw photos, I unexpectedly discovered that the cold-toned ambient light of the convention hall actually made the blue-and-white uniform look exceptionally clean and sharp, and the yellow-and-white pom-poms appeared even brighter. Because the costume itself was relatively lightweight, I wasn't exhausted by heavy props after walking around the hall for most of the day. Friends nearby even teased that wearing this outfit felt like walking through the convention with a cheerleader BGM built-in. Being able to completely record a set of looks that satisfied my heart was a very happy convention experience.

Regarding the pairing and stitching of this costume, it has a strong sense of layering from the side and rear angles. Especially during large jumping movements, the skirt flares out naturally, revealing an athletic feel that fits the cheerleader positioning perfectly. Every time the shutter clicked, I tried to freeze this vibrant state, making it a bright segment in my convention memories.

As a passerby who likes to try different styles, one of the reasons for choosing this cheerleader look this time was its lightweight and figure-flattering characteristics. The combination of the halter top and backless cut nicely flatters the shoulder and back lines, while pairing it with a high-waisted skirt raises the waistline, visually creating a very fresh and clean look. There were many photographers good at candid shots at the convention that day. Seeing us strike cheerleading poses, they enthusiastically joined in the shooting. Experiencing such a friendly atmosphere among fellow fans made the mood pleasant all day long.
