On-site at the Azur Lane 2026 Port Summer Cool Festival, I finally brought Lion's summer wardrobe to life. The overarching stylistic direction was crystalline: an effortless, charismatic mature-lady allure tinged with nonchalant ease. For the garments, I selected an all-white two-piece ensemble crafted with subtle satin sheen and delicate lace trims, layered under a gauzy white long-sleeved cardigan. To harmonize with the refreshing summer theme, I avoided wearing the cardigan rigidly, letting it drape casually off the shoulders to reveal the collarbones and neckline, which added open, airy fluidity to the silhouette. The shorts featured multi-tiered ruffled flounces that added spirited kinetic sway whenever I moved.
Immense thought went into the styling and cosmetics. For hair, I opted for a light brown high ponytail wig with wispy fringe bangs carefully textured to flatter facial contours. Eye makeup leaned into warm reddish-brown tones paired with honey-amber contact lenses, deliberately deepening the outer corners and aegyo-sal beneath to give the gaze profound warmth that echoed the gentle color palette. Propped atop my head was a pair of red-to-amber gradient aviator sunglasses, serving both as an easy styling prop and a striking splash of contrast against the sea of white. The neon pink toy squirt gun held in hand was an exceptional shoot accessory, instantly maxing out the playful, sun-drenched holiday mood.
The set design was beautifully executed: blue-and-white rippled wave backdrops felt just like a poolside cabana, accented by wooden folding lounge chairs. Reclining back into the deck chair to summon that relaxed ease, I rested my center of gravity backwards with legs crossed naturally, resting one arm casually over the armrest while the other adjusted the sunglasses above. The photographer suggested keeping my gaze completely unwound rather than wide-eyed, letting a gentle trace of a smile shine through to stay true to her character essence. Clear-heeled sandals were another deliberate accent, elongating leg contours and flattering proportions on camera.
We later transitioned onto the stage, where the visuals elevated further amidst sweeping beams and a gentle flurry of bubbles. The giant LED stage screen displayed vibrant summer-themed illustrations, lending rich visual depth. My poses on stage loosened up: subtly swaying the squirt gun or tilting my head softly toward the lens. The machine-blown bubbles caught the colored lights with shifting prismatic reflections, creating genuine summer festival immersion in the candid frames. For color grading, we preserved the crisp transparency of the blue backdrop while keeping the white textiles from clipping into overexposure, leaving the entire series looking remarkably fresh and clean.
While this outfit appears uncomplicated, every lace scallop and chiffon fold demanded an upright, poised core to maintain structural elegance before the camera. To capture the most flattering angles, I explored numerous seated and standing compositions—turning three-quarters to showcase curves or utilizing arm gestures to guide visual focal points. The collaboration was an absolute delight, with the on-site lighting ambiance providing immense support for the final edits. Reaching this effortless state of character resonance while soaking in rare summertime serenity made for an exceptionally comfortable, rewarding shoot.
