[Venti cosplay] The Synergy of Gradient Twin-Tails and Round Face Cosplay: Exuding a Fresh Boyish Charm

This time I tried doing a Venti cosplay. As someone with a typically soft, round face, a round face cosplay actually has a natural advantage in capturing character vitality, offering a more youthful look than sharply sculpted bone structures. In terms of styling, the look centers around a green and white outfit; the white floral textures on the fabric and the cross-star metal clasp on the chest have great tactile quality, paired exquisitely with a black bow tie at the neckline. The wig features gradient twin-tails shifting from dark teal to vibrant blue, with the blue ends appearing wonderfully translucent under the light. The ahoge on top of the head is also key to shaping the character's temperament, requiring multiple fine adjustments with styling pomade. For contacts, I chose bright green lenses, which, combined with reddish blended Anime-style makeup and defined aegyo sal (under-eye bags), made my gaze look brighter, clearer, and more innocent on camera.

During the shoot, we deliberately chose warm yellow side-backlighting to trace the rim light along the wig, while utilizing side shadows to visually contour the round face and give the cheeks more dimensional depth. When adjusting poses, tilting my head slightly to look away from the lens or using a slight upward angle helped soften facial lines even better. In post-processing, the focus was placed on balancing localized light and shadow, preserving facial translucency without excessively altering the natural facial structure, as the round face was part of this cosplay's unique charm. The overall green and white outfit and gradient twin-tails looked exceptionally fresh set against the warm-toned background. Putting on this costume and wig naturally brought out the character's signature sense of freedom and lightness, and subtle shifts in micro-expressions helped fully convey his spirit. The detail accuracy of both props and clothing was quite high; the cross-star buckle at the waist and the white floral appliqués on the shoulders matched the overall style seamlessly. Before shooting, I specifically groomed the surface texture of the wig so it would display rich layers under the light. While cosplaying this character required spending a lot of time on makeup and hair adjustments, the resulting visual effect and atmosphere were very satisfying. Doing a round face cosplay for this character brings a uniquely approachable charm, and this attempt has given me much more confidence in similar styling in the future.
