This pink-hair bunny-ear styling appeared in the exhibition hall today and immediately attracted a lot of attention. Let's talk about the costume first: a white shirt paired with a red bow and a dark pleated skirt. To increase layering, a leather belt and red rope decoration were specially added to the waist. The sleeve design is wide, white outside and red inside with floral patterns, showing a very flowing feel when walking. A red ribbon bow is tied at the neckline of the top, and a black-and-red diamond-shaped badge is fixed in the middle. These details look very brilliant in front of the lens.

The pink wig has been specially trimmed, and the layers of the bangs and sideburns can well modify the face shape. That pair of oversized bunny ears on top of the head is the soul of the entire styling, but because of their large size, internal skeleton support was needed, and special attention had to be paid to the angle when fixing them to the wig net. The pink Mage cosplay prop staff in hand has many details, with the pink bow and tassels complementing each other. To fit the lightness of the original design, I deliberately removed some internal materials to reduce weight, but raising it during shooting was still a physical task.

In terms of makeup, blue-purple contact lenses combined with pink-series eyeshadow and blush can easily look lacking in three-dimensionality under the strong overhead light of the convention center, so facial contouring needed to be specially strengthened. The lighting at the convention site was very complex, and direct lighting from the top easily left harsh shadows on the face. To take good Convention photos, the photographer took me around the venue constantly looking for side-backlight angles, sometimes walking around many times repeatedly just to capture a natural look-back moment.

The process of posing also tested physical strength quite a bit. Making a V-gesture or holding the staff with one hand and smiling might look easy, but actually, to keep the skirt's graceful arc from collapsing, the core had to exert force secretly all the time. The dark pleated skirt has a great unfolding effect when spinning and walking, and paired with Thigh-high socks and leg garters, it can well elongate the lower body proportions. The overall color matching this time was very bold; the pink hair, red bow, and blue-purple eyes needed to maintain visual harmony amidst strong contrast, so the color saturation of the makeup had to be toned down to prevent the makeup surface from looking dirty.

Shooting in such a crowded place like a convention is also a big challenge regarding how to avoid the crowd in the background. Using a large-aperture lens to blur the background, coupled with finding high vantage points for down-shots or low angles for up-shots, can turn a chaotic environment into a background with a sense of depth. The material of this outfit will produce different reflective effects under various lights in the exhibition hall, and the satin feel of the white shirt needs slightly soft light to shoot a high-end feel, as shooting directly into strong light easily leads to overexposure.

Many friends asked me in the background about prop maintenance and wig grooming. Actually, the folding and unfolding of wide-sleeved clothing and the storage of large hair accessories require great care, and the organization work after each comic convention ends is even more tiring than the shooting itself. But seeing the interlaced light and shadow effects in the final photos, as well as the best state presented by the clothing and accessories in front of the lens, I feel that all the early preparation and hard work were totally worth it. The color impact of this styling is very strong, which also gave me new attempts and breakthroughs in makeup, styling, and body expression.
