A lot of friends saw these photos and asked if I had gained weight—honestly, it's not chubby at all! To match the character's plump, adorable design, I deliberately tweaked both my outfit and my poses. Varesa's concept is naturally brimming with fluffy, round cuteness: those massive pink beast horns paired with the plush fleece collar collar would look totally unbalanced if the silhouette wasn't presented with a bit of softness and volume. To do her justice, I spent a lot of time studying dynamic poses.

I absolutely adore the wig! The short pink bob with subtle light blue streaks and two chunky braided pigtails took considerable effort to comb and style. In particular, that curled ahoge at the crown required tons of hairspray to keep it standing upright while looking organic. The beast horns and ear pieces look stunning, but they carry genuine weight—my neck definitely felt the strain after an entire afternoon of shooting.

Speaking of the outfit, the black sleeveless bodysuit paired with a mini skirt features an expansive open back, which actually places high demands on body lines. To capture flattering angles, I made sure to stretch my back before the shoot to keep my profile contours smooth. The off-white knit arm sleeves are one of the highlights of the ensemble; the long leg warmers (White stockings style) with asymmetrical heart patterns, paired with pink platform shoes, visually elongated my leg proportions. The plush tail was another massive undertaking: not only was it heavy, but it also had to stay fluffy and buoyant throughout motion so it wouldn't droop like a dead fish.

During shooting, to prevent the bulky costume from hindering movement, I opted for more open, extended postures. In the seated profile look-back shot, I engaged my core and straightened my back while dropping my shoulders to project that playful, spirited feel. Lying on my stomach tested neck and shoulder flexibility even more; arm placement had to be spot-on, otherwise the fluffy collar would bunch around my face and look messy. These poses might look effortless, but every frozen second was a silent workout.

For this Varesa cosplay, the key was showcasing her adorable charm without letting the ensemble look sluggish. The abundant plush elements and weighty accessories had to be balanced through conscious body language. This shoot taught me so much about using garment textures and silhouettes to flatter a character's personality. Putting on such an elaborate getup is always a physical endurance test, but seeing myself completely transformed into the character on screen made every aching muscle worth it.
