This set of photos today was specially prepared to celebrate Usagi Tsukino's birthday. Since it commemorates this girl full of love and courage, I didn't dare to be careless at all with the details of the costume, makeup, and props.

Let's first talk about the styling. For the wig this time, two bundles of highly moldable, ultra-bright golden hair strands were specially selected. To recreate that classic odango twin-tail look, it took nearly an hour just to adjust the direction of the hair strands and the placement of the feather hair accessories. The golden tiara on the forehead and the red ring ornaments next to the twin buns are all custom-made, striving to fit the original playful and cute image for character accuracy. I requested the base makeup to be very thin and translucent, with a special emphasis on the eye contours, using pink-orange eyeshadow to echo the overall refreshing color palette, paired with light blue colored contacts to make the gaze look clearer and more innocent.

Regarding the costume, the classic white-based sailor uniform is paired with a navy blue collar. The fabric must be crisp, and the pleats of the skirt hem also need to maintain perfect three-dimensional layers so that it naturally scatters into a fan shape when standing, rather than sticking flat to the legs. The belt is bright yellow, beautifully echoing the red heart brooch; especially when turning sideways on camera, the material of the belt shapes the waistline wonderfully. The bowtie was intentionally selected in a slightly reddish satin with a subtle shimmer, paired with the yellow heart brooch to create an instant visual contrast. The gloves and red over-the-knee boots are indispensable soul accessories, especially the crescent moon emblem at the top of the boots, which was specially crafted using a 3D heat-pressing process, adding a lot of flair.

The shooting scene this time was selected in a studio with a European vintage church style. The Gothic stained glass windows filter in soft light, while the towering Roman columns on both sides and the well-arranged white and blue floral arrangements create a dreamy and sacred atmosphere for this dreamy photography session. Combined with the golden European chandelier, it perfectly highlights her characteristic trait of coexisting elegance and vitality.

For the shooting poses, we didn't completely copy the original manga panels but incorporated some dynamic feeling of my own understanding. For example, gently pinching the long twin tails on both sides with my hands, or raising a hand after kneeling, doing my best to express that agile vitality within static anime cosplay. Kneeling while wearing boots is actually quite a test for the joints; combining tight leather boots with the short skirt of the sailor uniform requires maintaining anime-like body proportions without pressing out extra wrinkles. Therefore, every time I changed positions, I needed to smooth out the skirt hem and glove edges again. Since this makeup look is relatively clean and clear, we intentionally chose to shoot under indoor afternoon light in terms of light and shadow, without adding heavy external hard flashlights, using soft reflected light to sculpt facial contours so that the final photos would present this pink-white, soft, and cream-like texture.

I feel that cosplay is not only about approaching a character in appearance, but more about conveying the breath and joy of the character itself. I hope this set of photos today can bring everyone a touch of beautiful feelings.
