[Lucy cosplay] Cyberpunk: Edgerunners - Moonlit Reverie

Before shooting this set, I happened to find an ideal Cyberpunk style setting, so I decided to arrange Lucy's classic look. This costume really puts body proportions to the test—especially the transition between the white sleeves and black crop top on the upper body, combined with the black leggings and boots below, creating rich interplay of light and shadow under the neon lights. When applying makeup, I focused heavily on the eyes: blue contacts paired with reddish-pink eyeshadow and a white-pink wig. Slightly adjusting the hair's angle made it feel much truer to the character's subtly wistful yet cool essence. Since the venue featured plenty of neon tubes, disco balls, and graffitied tires, we left some space around the edges during composition to highlight the Cyberpunk cosplay background atmosphere. During shooting, I kept experimenting with crouching angles to flatter the legs and overall silhouette, while using the venue's circular yellow lights as foreground streaks to add depth and motion. For post-processing, I mainly cleaned up background noise and heightened high-saturation color contrasts, making the sheen on the black leather leggings pop while refining the leg lines. The overall styling wasn't exaggerated; rather, the priority was staying as faithful to the source material as possible. Because the lighting was quite complex that day, many shots were discarded, but this final set represents my most satisfying result yet in terms of compositional balance, expressive nuance, and prop coordination. Sorting through the photos brought back Lucy's lines about dreaming of the moon—that cyberpunk yearning persisting even within a cold, unforgiving city is deeply moving. The most rewarding aspect of cosplay is conveying a character's emotion through attire and atmosphere; I spent a lot of time refining my poses and expressions, and I hope everyone can feel that authenticity.
