The coser next to me wearing the giant mascot head also worked really hard; you can tell from the photos that wearing that outfit in the summer is definitely burning hot. Many friends might wonder how the wig is secured; I actually did a lot of inner padding adjustments, including trimming the bangs, so that the wig net wouldn't show when tilting my head up or down. Although the editing is a bit heavy, in reality, the color combination of this outfit is unexpectedly full of vitality—the blue trim on a white base actually makes the skin look very fair. Usually, when doing cosplays, my biggest fear is the eye makeup smudging, but this time, the bright blue eye makeup lasted all day, so I'd say it's a pass. I covered the tabletop with red velvet and arranged all my different doujinshi, badges, and posters by category. Although the space wasn't very large, the final result unexpectedly gave off a proper booth vibe. The layout and cover design of the doujin booklet were all labors of love, so displaying them in my hands felt really fulfilling. The black inner top at the collar contrasts nicely with the white of the jacket, bringing out a great sense of layering.

Actually, the time from my initial planning to the actual preparation for the Guangzhou KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO Only was quite tight, but seeing so many friends who like the same franchise at the event—especially seeing everyone stop by my booth to look through my doujin booklet—made me feel that all the late nights spent drawing manuscripts and preparing merch were worth it. The venue's air conditioning was decent, but wearing a wig in the crowd was still a bit stuffy. The selfie in Photo 1 was taken during a break; the lighting in the hotel room was softer, making the shot look very natural. The mascot-head photo in Photo 3 was the most fun one from the convention—I made a peace sign while the mascot guy pinched his fingertips, creating an awesome comedic contrast. The best part of every anime convention cosplay experience is always meeting all kinds of people; even if it's just a simple hello or a photo with each other, it's a great way to unwind.

Lastly, I still need to give myself a reality check. I know I Photoshopped this set pretty heavily—the face shape, features, and skin tone have all been processed—so every time I post pictures like this, I can't help but feel a little guilty. But hey, doing cosplay is all about recreating the most beautiful version of a character in everyone's hearts, and photography and post-processing are part of the whole creative process. The real me might not be as refined as in the photos, but I'll still greet everyone with a smile if we meet offline.
