The Convention photos from Day 3 of the 32nd Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo during the May Day holiday are finally sorted out. This time, I recreated Shigure Ui's classic school uniform look on-site, striving to stay as true to the original design as possible in terms of casting, makeup, styling, and posing.

The golden blunt-bangs twin tails are the soul of the look, paired with two white fluffy ball hair accessories. Green contact lenses give my gaze the character's signature feature, and with the matte-finish light makeup, the overall look feels clean and refreshing. A white shirt with a red bow tie forms the base, topped with a deep navy-blue pleated pinafore dress. What cannot be missed is this bright red Japanese school randoseru backpack; the hardware buckles and white piping are highly textured, instantly channeling that school-day vibe once worn. For shoes, I specially chose white flats with orange-red toes to echo the red backpack and bow tie, unifying the visual palette.

Most of the photos this time are casual snapshots. In the two shots where I'm sitting on the curb, one has my hands cradling my face, and the other has my hands resting between my knees, looking very relaxed. Poses like standing while making a peace sign, reaching out to interact, and crouching down to look back introduce a wide range of motion, making them look highly natural. The matte white long socks form a distinct color contrast with the red backpack in the frame, balancing the overall colors beautifully.

The shooting location was an outdoor passage near the exhibition hall, where the gray-white asphalt road and black metal fences provided a relatively clean background. The overcast natural light offered even, soft illumination without harsh light-dark contrast, rendering both skin tone and clothing colors very soft. Photographer @Eight-th-Root-of-X (八次方根) used a wide aperture to blur the background, locking the focus entirely on the character and the red backpack, making Figure 1 perfect as the cover.

The Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo venue was extremely crowded, and I am highly grateful for the photographer's guidance in helping us capture such a set in a relatively quiet corner. Since the lower half of the outfit consists of a short skirt and long socks, I had to make sure the skirt hem was properly arranged when crouching or sitting to avoid any wardrobe malfunction while keeping the lines of the skirt pleats crisp. The shot in Figure 3 where I reach my hand out carries a slight wide-angle perspective, giving it excellent visual tension. My state on Day 3 is basically fully reflected in these few images, making it a highly pleasant Casual cosplay shooting experience. While sorting through the photos, I found that this red, white, navy-blue, and gold color scheme is exceptionally photogenic under outdoor natural light.
