At the hololive (hololive) booth on the second day of BW2026, I chose this Usada Pekora (Usada Pekora cosplay) styling to meet everyone. The entire outfit is packed with intricate design details. First and foremost, the most eye-catching feature is definitely the long black bunny ears atop my head; crafted from a patent-leather-like, high-gloss material, I spent substantial time adjusting their angle on the headband to achieve the sharpest dimensional shape under stage lights. The miniature top hat perched at the base of the bunny ears is another delightful highlight. Paired with a white ruffled blouse and a glossy black inverted-triangle underbust corset, this material sculpts the waistline exquisitely, though its breathability is admittedly limited, making walking around the convention floor a bit warm after a while. Down below, the light-blue pleated skirt hits just the right length, billowing into a gorgeous flare whenever I spin.
For hair and makeup, to faithfully recreate that anime aesthetic, I wore vibrant red contact lenses. The eye makeup used a reddish-pink eyeshadow base, with blush swept heavily beneath the lower lash line—a classic technique to amplify that porcelain doll-like charm. I combined this with dense, curled false lashes and tight lower-lid eyeliner to enlarge the eyes. The light-blue wig demanded meticulous maintenance: I trimmed both the thickness and length of the blunt bangs so they sat precisely above my brows, preserving clear vision while holding an adorable curve. Because the wig was quite long, I applied styling products to keep flyaways and frizz at bay.
To enrich the visual storytelling, I brought along two petite plush dolls as interactive props—one with blue hair and red eyes, and another sporting a black pirate tricorn. Holding them in diverse poses on stage not only dissolved the awkwardness of where to place my hands, but made the overall framing feel instantly warmer and more approachable. I initially forgot to snip off the plushies' tags, which ultimately became a charming little blooper. Hand accessories were equally faithful to the design: the detachable white sleeve cuffs featured blue piping and printed lettering, while the black necktie was accented with a crimson gem ornament, adding crisp textural depth before the camera. Since the booth backdrop embraced a blue-and-purple coastal aesthetic, I adjusted my stances and plush-holding poses to harmonize with the surroundings, ensuring a cohesive final visual.
On the booth stage, the venue lighting was exceptionally well-directed, casting a brilliant sheen across the glossy corset and bunny ears. Foot traffic was massive throughout the hall, and meeting so many fellow fans who recognized the character was exhilarating; whenever people waved from below the stage, I responded with sweet, lively poses. Standing at the booth all day in this costume left my feet sore, yet my energy and expression remained high throughout. Aside from the snug corset, the rest of the outfit offered plenty of mobility. Today's convention experience was wonderfully fulfilling, and I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone for capturing and sharing these precious floor photos.
