Zhejiang THO ended successfully, and while the photos are still fresh, I sorted out the convention photos. This time I chose Yakumo Yukari's classic purple layered dress. Every crease from the hat to the skirt hem was repeatedly ironed in advance, for fear of making wrinkles while rushing around the venue. The black folding fan is an essential prop to match the character's temperament; holding it in hand serves both as a shooting aid and a way to block passersby who suddenly lean in outside the camera frame when the convention gets crowded. For the wig, I specially secured the spiral curls on both sides this time and added an invisible hairnet, so it didn't get too messy even when walking and weaving through the venue. The makeup emphasized the blue pupil color, with both eyeshadow and blush kept relatively light, mainly to highlight a cool-toned look.

The lighting during the shoot was quite soft, and the reflection of the purple fabric happened to set off the skin tone to look exceptionally translucent. I'm quite satisfied with the first half-body close-up; the composition and expression are all within control. The second full-body photo happened to capture the high-slit design details of the skirt hem, and pairing it with red lace-up shoes indeed enhances the overall proportions. The atmosphere at Zhejiang THO this time was great, yielding many satisfying photos. As someone who insists on character recreation accuracy, besides the costume structure, I care more about the harmony of movements and demeanor, such as the curve of the wrist when waving the fan and the elegance of the standing posture. Although this outfit is layered and very heavy, it's truly worth it to take beautiful photos on-site.

Post-processing only involved basic color grading to maintain the texture of the raw photos, without excessive slimming or altering facial features. This is because I feel the core of convention photos is realism and live atmosphere; keeping some natural minor flaws actually makes it more vivid. While changing clothes, I also met several fellow fans and exchanged ideas on fabric and lace treatment, which was highly beneficial. In short, this on-site shooting experience was great. I'm preparing to get some additional dynamic snapshots, looking forward to meeting everyone again in offline events like this to share our love for Touhou Project and the art of Roleplay.
